Yes, that's what I think too.

Treat Sydney
Direct flight to Lagos
Move to Kinshasa
Treat Kinshasa

Also, Bogota should have only 1 cube, and Santiago should have none

shraeye (Scientist) draws Rapid Vaccine Deployment, New York
Rapid Vaccine Deployment: Play immediately after a cure is discovered to remove up to 5 cubes of the cured disease. These cubes must come from connected cities.

Infector: Los Angeles, Algiers, Ho Chi Minh City

Player 1: TheMunch (Medic): Moscow, Atlanta, Milan, Borrowed Time
Borrowed Time: The current player may take 2 additional actions this turn.

Player 2: shraeye (Scientist): Jakarta, Kolkata, Algier, Karachi, Rapid Vaccine Deployment, New York
Rapid Vaccine Deployment: Play immediately after a cure is discovered to remove up to 5 cubes of the cured disease. These cubes must come from connected cities.

Player 3: Tables (Generalist): Riyadh, Kinshasa, Osaka, Los Angeles

Player 4: theorel (Field Operative) (): Miami, Bogotá, London, Seoul

Discard: Chicago, Chennai, Epidemic, Taipei, Sydney, Epidemic, Airlift, Epidemic, Resilient Population, Lagos

Tables (Generalist) is next.

I think the general plan out of my head is Tables should cure Kinshasa and Cairo (because Kinshasa is getting hit soon).

theorel should grab cube/cure in LA and Miami (which is coming up soon).

Both those turns should be epidemic-free.

Then Munch cleans up Madrid

These card draws have come at unlucky times, though RVD is a pretty nice Special event (assuming we ever get to a cure...)

That doesn't let me get a research station down there, though. I really think we'd benefit from a research center there.

Two possible plans then are:
1) Direct flight to Kinshasa
2) Treat
3-4) Move to Cairo
5) Treat Cairo

1) Move to Osaka
2) Charter flight to Kinshasa
3) Build research station
4-5) ?? (Treat disease, or move Lagos and treat)

But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

For option 2: Definitely better to treat Kinshasa than Lagos, since Lagos is out of the game.

I don't love leaving Cairo open, but I think that it would be good to have the research station.

shraeye could treat Cairo on his next turn and end in Riyadh, then Tables could get Riyadh to shraeye, or do something more useful if shraeye draws a black.

I like that this can fully treat Kinshasa...it seems like it might be worthwhile to really cleanse some areas rather than just grabbing a single cube at a time.

Secondary note: if munch used borrowed time he could hit both Madrid and Cairo on his next turn.  Not sure it's the best use of that special event, but it is an option.

Munch is probably the best person for borrowed time, since his special power is much more action intensive than any of ours. But when it comes down to it we might need it elsewhere maybe.

I agree with what's happening.  I think Munch should use borrowed time, unless something really pressing comes up.

It's better to set up a RSin Kinshasa, even if you have to give up treating Cairo right now.

But I think that pulling one cube from Lagos would be good, maybe at the start of next turn.  It's safe at 3, but if Kinshasa ever runs into trouble,, that's a double outbreak.

Or if Khartoum or Sao Paolo get pulled in an Infector phase.

Actually, those are long-shots, and if you clean kinshasa twice (in addition to the RS) then Lagos might just be safe at 3.

I say you go osaka-kinshasa-RS-treat-treat

Move to Osaka
Direct flight to Kinshasa
Build Research station in Kinshasa
Treat
Treat

Thanks for the feedback. I was leaning towards this anyway.

Well, this has been known like forever...don't see any compelling reason to change it.
Take cube from LA to card
Move Mexico City-Miami
Treat Miami once

C'mon yellow card!

So its my turn and everything looks quite safe... Somehow.  Definitely no thanks to me!

So do we think that I should be setting myself up someplace nice.  Should I clean up Madrid?

What if we used Borrowed Time now to clean both Madrid and Cairo?

This frees me/Tables up to try to get Riyadh into my hand.

I quite like that plan. It also involves the most fun route on the map, Sao Paulo-Madrid.

I was hoping to use borrowed time to Jesus walk for an eradication but I could see the argument for using it now.

We probably aren't going to eradicate anything, so I don't think that's really a concern.

Yeah, I think now is better.  Stopping bad things now is more important than hoping to eradicate something in the future.
Things are pretty under control at this point.  I think we'll even be able to let things go a bit moving forward, if we can just pull off some stinking cures.
