There will be no Hand 5, you'll just get whatever card the player to your left doesn't want.

Posting this so I don't forget anything:

When everyone receives their final hands they will contain:

1. Alignment (again)
2. Adjacent Players (again)
3. Cards, what phase you play them in, and what they do (yay!)


Here are the phases, all cards carried out in this order:

(I made a slight change)

1. Play Modifiers (change how cards are played)
2. Roleblockers (prevent cards from working)
3. Protection (protects you or others from harm)
4. Redirectors (change who people target)
5. Investigative (see certain night actions)
6. Kills (deaths of any kind)
7. Discarders (removes cards from self or others)
8. Inspection (look at a player's hand, alignment, etc)


If you one or more of your cards has an asterik next to what phase it is played in (ex: Investigative*) it is one of the weird cards. It usually doesnt mean it follows the description of that phase, just when it makes sense for that action to be carried out.

Role blockers and Redirectors do not affect the Mafia kill in any way. They only affect cards played. Role blockers will return the targeted player's card to their hand.

All town aligned players have 5 cards to start and all mafia aligned players have 4 cards and a 1-shot NK modification of some sort.

Potential NK modifications are:
Ninja
Strongman
Janitor


The name of all cards played each night will be posted in thread. When a player dies, whatever cards that played had will be publicly posted.

There are 57 total cards, and 37 unique cards. There are 3 Mafia, 9 Town. No other alignment is available.

I may post more things into the thread as I remember them. Make sure you read them, they will be vital to how the game works.


Deaths are flavorful, but give no clue to the killer's identity.

*FINAL HANDS HAVE NOT BEEN SENT OUT YET. I'LL TELL YOU WHEN THEY ARE OUT. I'M POSTING THIS SO EVERYONE CAN PREPARE FOR WHEN THEY GET THERE HANDS.

Alright, all the PMs are out. Time to write the D1 flavor.

All Mafia-aligned players can now talk in their QT while I write the flavor, so go do it!

Please PM if you have any questions about the powers of your cards.

Archetype was holding another weekly gaming night with himself, and 12 other friends. They were playing Dominion, as usual. Except this time, Archetype wasn’t there! When the friends arrived at his house, they found a note on the game's box:



“Can’t be here tonight, but have fun! Make sure you follow the rules! Have a good time!”




3 rule-breakers laughed maliciously after reading the note, “Following the rules?” One of them said, “I play by my own rules!”

They are tore open all the boxes and flung the cards at everyone,

Take 1, and pass the rest!” They laughed.

“B-but, this isn’t how you play!” Someone yelled, “You’re supposed to choose only 10 different kingdom cards, not 37 unique cards!

“Well too bad! We’re playing with 57 cards, plus these cool promo Ninja, Strongman, and Janitor cards I made!” Other person yelled.

“Which ones do we use?” One of the rule breakers asked.

“I know which ones, but let’s not tell them,” Another rule breaker laughed.

“We’re done choosing,” One of the players grumbled.

“Finally!” One rule-breaker yelled, “Us three are going to cream you 9 rule-followers

“We’ll see, now where are the Coppers and Estates?” Someone asked politely.

“What!? Those worthless things!? No, in this game you all start with 5 cards. We get 4 cards, plus one of these cool promo cards,”

“So, do we just play the cards and follow what they do or…?” A rule follower asked.

“No! They do what WE say!” A rule-breaker exclaimed.

“But that isn’t fair!” A good person yelled.

“Too bad!”

"Does anybody know who these guys are...?" Someone whispered.

“If Archetype was here, he wouldn’t have allowed it…” 


Day 1 has started!
Ends November 21st, 01:02:48 AM

None!


With 13 alive it takes 7 to lynch (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

i don't think it's particularly stronger than normal; ie, probably a bad idea day 1.

     Powers: There are NO Vanilla Townies! Yay! So I guess you could call this a RMM game, in a way. Only you will know the power of your cards once drafting is complete.

I didn't had in mind that the promo cards are all known Roles in Mafia, so I just looked them up and I'm fine. Sorry, I'm still new to Mafia.

Now, I have no way of knowing what others' cards do but mine make scumhunting based on night actions a viable strategy. As such, a D1 no-lynch makes sense from my isolated perspective.

I am curious to hear other people's analysis on this concept.
