When you spend a token, if you have more differently named cards in play than Sir Pounces, you may play this from your hand.

Favors are pretty good, so this card gets a bit of a limitation to avoid the sort of chain reactions that are frequent with Sheepdog and Black Cat.
Some Allies will make this tough to trigger, but maybe there's some other type of token around that you could spend?

Shouldnt this have “reveal your hand” because you can lie about how many sir pounces you have in hand?

I guess the intention is to compare with number of Sir Pounces in play, but the wording is really weird. It sounds like to compare cards in my play with cards in Sir Pounces' play.

Maybe Rising Sun will change this with debt and shadow!

In principle a card that allows you to retrieve Victory cards from the Trash would make this an empty list. Of course, it would be hard to make such a card interesting, since, unless you have trashing attacks, you're not likely to have useful Victory cards in the Trash to begin with, so Vineyard is likely to remain on this list even if new cards might get added to it with Rising Sun
could be a contest theme.

People featured on Knights lives in 21st century. 8)

That leads to idea about Attack card that give out bad Shadow cards.

Good judgement.
My only nitpick is whether when you gain this, you first gain this and THEN set aside the top 2 cards of your deck, or you set aside them first.
I think it's the former way according to the when-gain rule?

I think both of the submission right now have the same problem that they would be totally useless in kingdoms without interactions.

How do you feel about cards that sometimes have effects which will be irrelevant in some games? (Like Footpad, some games you wont be able to gain in action phase). Do you care about how small the chance is of this happening, do you look to not have many of these, or do you just not care at all (footpad is basically 2 way different cards in the 2 scenarios) Just your general thoughts
At the moment there are 37 cards that have the “When you gain another card” triggered effect.
And A LOT more other triggered effects.
All of them will be irrelevant sometimes, that’s just part of the game.
They don't have the 'in an Action phase' clause.

Will there be new cards using mechanics from both expansions?

How will the online/TGG version deal with the new edition? Would Cornucopia & Guilds then be sold together? For those who owned Cornucopia online, if I recall correctly, they would get access to 2nd ed cards, but not 1st ed cards until they buy the 1st ed pack?


Marksman is a nonterminal trasher that lets you choose between cantrip now, trash later or vice versa (which gives you some Duration draw later). It triggers on having 4 Actions in play, so it will usually sit there a few turns early game, but eventually you can trigger several at once or even get both effects on the same turn (like a cheaper Junk Dealer) if you play in the right order. To track which effect you've done already, I recommend playing the card upside down if you need to trash next time. The trash is mandatory, so be careful when you trigger this--playing a line of Marksmen as cantrips might come back to bite you later. The "during your Action phase" wording is to prevent triggering during Clean-up (any simpler wording ideas are welcome!).

This is for Allies, an expansion that emphasizes choose ones (especially cantrip or *effect*) and recursion--this is a Duration card that might not be a Duration after all.
What if I play it with an Elder?

I don't think it's better than Archer.
I'm completely new here and this is my first card ever - so please don't judge me too hard.

This card would replace Pillage:

Each other player with 5 or more cards in hand reveals their hand except one card and discards one of the revealed cards that you choose.
If a player discarded a card costing $5 or more, trash this.
When you trash this, gain 2 Spoils.

It is a bit unclear what it's cheaper to. I suggest rewording as "You may play a Treasure from your hand to gain a cheaper Action card than it".

I like this idea! I think a Trait that make a pair of piles that exchange for the other one (like Vampire/Bat) could be more interesting, and simpler.

Shapeshifting (Trait)
If a Supply pile is empty: when you gain or discard from play a Shapeshifting card, trash it to gain a card from the set aside pile.
Setup: Set aside an unused Kingdom pile of cards costing the same as the Shapeshifting pile (these are not in the Supply).

FYI, official cards that would qualify includes Contraband, Grand Market, Souk, Poor House, Mission, Mountain Village.
I am not sure if Bad Omens, Fear and Deluded did.

Is any more information about this expansion available anywhere?  I looked on BGG and RGG but couldn't see anything.
Random guess: Rising Sun - Dawn - The reverse version of Night, used by many fan card ideas. :D
