Can I recommend that people get into bridge? Great game!

Where do you play bridge online?

http://www.bridgebase.com/ is far and away the best option.

Ironically, all these Goko issues started happening the day I decided I would take a prolonged break from Dominion.
Please, decide to continue playing Dominion immediately!

That seems coincidental but not ironic at all.

Is there any update on this? Is Goko still very unstable, or is it working now?

Yesterday morning we could login, we could put out matches, push the play button ... To have nothing happen.

This was resolved during the day but still remained a bit unstable.

The major lag issues should be gone I believe but lag is still existant on the server.

So in essence, yes, you can play.

Wow, is Goko laggy recently. I really want some discount or some money back. Not only it's unbearable laggy and it kicked me out of a game 2 times in the last 2 games. Suddenly the page refreshes and I'm in the login screen again, not logged in anymore. That is really annoying, especially if the game is nearly over and you're currently winning. Anyone got kicked out of games too recently or is this (for once) not Goko's fault? Any ideas?

Also, did anyone posted the lag issues on getsatisfaction? Are they aware of it?

From what I can see there does not seem to be anyone from Goko monitoring the GetSatisfaction feedback any longer. There have been people talking about the recent issues with lag etc. but it just seems to be customers talking to each other. The last post I could see by anyone who was identified as a Goko employee was about 7 months ago.

Really? That's a shame. So, what do you suggest? I mean this isn't really tolerable anymore. A little bit of lag sometimes, fine, I could deal with it. But heavy lag and now even game quits, no  way.

I see, so it isn't HTML5 which is flawed, it's their time travel technology which needs improving.

HTML5 has lots of really powerful features that they either didn't use or didn't take advantage of properly....

Gotta agree with this :-/ I'm sympathetic to unexpected issues, to a point, but when the company behind the game just abandons ship ... Well honestly it looks like a scam.  I want to believe it isn't, but if they aren't even responding to issues much less fixing them, then basically at this point they have taken my money in exchange for a service they are not providing.

Has anyone tried to contact DXV at BGG to see what's up? He seemed to have a bit of insider knowledge, and it also seems like he'd have an interest in Goko's success.

This is a bit of a overstatement. There are still posts from Goko employees from 10 days ago:

Okay, 10 days is still a very long time, but not as hopeless as 7 months.

Uh oh. This is getting worse and worse. Let's play Scout on them and see what's wrong with their servers.

After I posted that, I tried again and it worked. So it may just be intermittent at this point.

games weren't starting for me either.  Rather, they started sometimes, and other times didn't.  Eventually got too frustrating and just stopped playing

Man. I had four strips of bacon yesterday. Was one automatically undercooked, one automatically overcooked? No, let's put a stop to that right here, all four strips were excellent.

If I had to guess, I'd say that they have more than one server to run the games, and one's screwed and not starting games. Since it's got fewer games running on it, most of the time you get sent to that one. Occasionally you get lucky, but mostly not.
