I (re)broke 6000, lost it the next game, won my next game and went up to 5999, then lost again.

At least it's good to know that I might actually be around 6000, instead of occasionally getting a winning streak up to 6000.

After my post earlier, I won one more game and went up to (provincial) 21st place on casual. Then I lost one 3-player game and went down like 350 places on the leaderboard, and to add insult to injury that was the game that made my rating stick. XD

I've never thought of anyone I played "how the hell are you in the top 20?", so in that sense the leaderboard is reasonably good. It is, however, very swingy (last weekend I dropped from #2 to #28 within one day), and particularly unforgiving if you haven't been playing alot lately. I do think lespeutere is currently the most underrated player in the top 20. He's certainly better than me.

And I got from #40-50ish to #14 in one day (it was probably the same day in fact), even though I haven't really been playing a lot of Dominion last month and I don't think I was that good before. I don't know, maybe I just have been getting better at Dominion by playing Jade Empire and watching anime.

My general pattern is that I stop playing for a couple weeks, drop to the low 2000s, then play a game that doubles my ranking up into the 4000s.  Then when I feel like playing again some weeks later I'm back down to 2000.  It's pretty annoying.  I'm glad that Goko doesn't have an auto-kick feature, but now that the extension does, it can be pretty hard to find a good match.  So many people have it set to 5000+

Yeah, it's basically been nothing but that lately.

Although I almost ruined everything by losing to two lower-rated opponents... thankfully endgame tactics saved me.
