So after our first game at http://www.boiteajeux.net/index.php, Qvist, Kuildeous and me wanna play again.
Is there a 4th player who wants to join us?
If not, I think we'll just start with 3 tomorrow.

Can we play with 5?

If not, you can have my spot eHalc. I made need to watch a game to get the hang of it first.

I'll just make two games. That way everyone can play, and I can even play twice.

Where's the other game link?  I think I might spectate that one.

Also, is there a log to see what other people have done with their turn, or do you have to figure it out based on their board?

I like how we're all sort of doing different things.  Watno has freaking all the mines.  Archetype is the only one who has invested in animals so far.  I am... uhh, kind of all over the place right now.

What are all the ways to get points?

- finishing areas
- finishing all of one colour
- brown buildings that give points
- yellow science things that give points
- animals
- selling goods

Anything else?  Is money worth points?

Should this thread be moved to the actual games forum?

Edit:

Money, unsold goods and every 2 workers are also worth 1VP, OK.

Does the phase affect what things are available?  I notice we haven't seen any 3-goods or chickens yet, but I think we've seen all the other goods and animals.

I didn't even know that there were chickens.

There's almost no reason for this thread to exist (barring post-game reflection) because we have that chatting thing. I don't think it matters what happens to the thread, but Non-Mafia games is probably the best place to do it.

I really like the game, but I can see that there is a lot of AP if there is no obvious move.

I noticed there were chickens when I looked into the other game today.  They were way behind us, but now they are like half a phase ahead of us. :P

For me, it's that there are so many things I want to do.  Last turn I considered playing my ship to get those two goods... but I decided I had to grab one of the other tiles first.  And then you took the goods!

Chickens!

So, question -- which science tile is better?  The one that gives you extra money for shipping, or the one that gives you money for getting workers?  I went with the latter because I already had an enhanced "get workers" action and thought the flexibility would be good (you can always take workers but you can't always ship).  But taking workers isn't a great way of getting points while shipping seems pretty good, so maybe it would have been better to enhance the more helpful action.

And there still isn't a pink goods tile.  Just luck of the draw?

Yeah, it's just luck of the draw. I think I'd prefer having 2 science tiles for the same action.

How much can we account for probability?  Like, since there are so many teal goods now, and we've already seen quite a few orange and brown, does that make them significantly less likely to appear in the future?  Since we haven't seen any pink goods yet, is it almost guaranteed that we'll see them in the next phases?  That is, how many extra tiles are there in the "bag"?

Awww yissss, I have created a city of bureaucracy.  Whatever else happens in this game, I feel like a winner.

Archetype pretty sneaky with those ships.

Anyone willing to discuss strategy?  When I build my next brown, how do I decide whether to build in the size 3 area or in the size 5?  Completing the former would be worth 6+phase points while the latter would be worth 15+phase points.  If I manage to complete everything by the end, then it is better to do the size 3 area first simply for the phase points.  But if I can't, then is it better to go for the 5?  With only four dice left in the round, there's almost no chance of completing the size 3 in this phase anyway.  The size 5 already has one tile in it, so it's about the same either way.  Probably doing the size 5 would be better?

Perhaps more general -- at what point is it no longer worth it to try to finish the smaller areas to get the phase points?  When is it best to transition into finishing the big areas for those big points?

I feel like I had a grip on the game first round, but I'm not so sure about this second round. Seems like not taking mines is finally catching up to me.

Knew about the big bonuses, but completely forgot about the small ones! I was wondering what the significance of putting certain buildings in certain areas was (well, besides having greater access to more spots).

Really like the ships. Cool mechanic and seems incredibly powerful if you can get far enough ahead.
