I just realized I misunderstood the rules. When I took the sugar, I thought I'd get both sugar plantations.

Doing some modding at the moment.

I finally got to look at my box, and I'm confused.

The rules say there are 20 non-violet production buildings, but I only seem to have 18:
4 x small Sugar
4 x small Indigo
3 x Sugar
3 x Indigo
2 x Tobacco
2 x Coffee

Which is correct?

Liopoil takes tobacco.
The sugar is discarded.
New plantations are dealt - 2 corn, 3 sugar, 1 coffee.
Bozzball is the builder.
Bozzball builds a small market for 0 doubloons.
Jack Rudd builds a small indigo plant for 1 doubloon.
Qvist builds a Hacienda for 2 doubloons.
Liopoil builds a Construction Hut for 2 doubloons.
Glooble builds a Small Sugar Mill for 2 doubloons.

I have changed the initial post, subject to there being 4,4,3,3,2,2 of the non-violet production buildings.

are you sure that the sugar is supposed to be discarded?

I seem to remember 5 each of the small plants.... I could be wrong.

From the rules:

Finally, the settler player puts the untaken plantation tiles face-up on a plantation discard stack and draws new plantation cards from the facedown stacks, placing them face-up next to the quarry stack. He draws one more than the number of players.

Sorry, guys, I was away over the weekend and didn't check this thread.

I'll pick the role that gives Colonists - Mayor, is it? One on my Indigo and one on my Small Indigo Plant.

ahhh, mayor. It says in the rules to put settlers on simultaneously, but if the players feel their placement might depend on another player's placement than to do it in player order. I have played many situations where I care about other player's placement, but this isn't one of them. What do you guys think? simultaneous would certainly be faster, and in the current situation it doesn't really matter... later in the game we can do it in order if needed.

Actually, maybe we should just do it simultaneously and if anyone cares about other people's placement than they can just wait their turn. In this case people should not do it out of turn unless they think it really can't effect other people's placement.

So everyone gets one settler except Jack, who gets 2?

This seems a good idea. Everyone say where there men are going in turn order, unless they don't want to wait, and then they can say in advance.

Liopoil and Glooble grow nothing.
Bozzball grows a corn
Jack Rudd grows an indigo.
Qvist grows a corn according to Settler privilege.
