So, this is where we left off last time:
Ridiculous wagon on Qvist has formed, I use an item I had to daycop Qvist, get a result he is town.
So, I claim from phone because I panicked votes were continuing to pile. I agree my claim wasn't very well laid out. I say "so, I think the Qvist-voters are our best bet at finding scum. Who do you think is the scummiest of them? I'm thinking Robz.", to which ashersky answers with:
Dsell was the scummiest to join. Look at his vote:
-------
Vote: Dsell, but isnt that just robz's post with more words? Key difference being Robz joined a wagon that was larger (and I generally feel more comfortable reading Robz).
Okay, so ashersky offers Dsell instead of Robz. I vote for Dsell*, but ask for reasons because I don't see how Dsell's vote is all that different from Robz and add Robz's came later and was for that reason more serious, putting Qvist to L-2 like it was nothing.
*Me voting for Dsell here was not good play, even though it ended up being very useful. I wanted to put pressure on the wagon, and have my vote on one of them, and that's what actually ended up happening in a surprising way.
So, to recap, I offer Robz, ashersky counters with Dsell, I concur and vote for Dsell, while asking ash for the reasons.
I'm arguing Robz putting him to L-2 was the most serious of votes, so he seems scummier than Dsell by a little bit. You saying that was just Robz being silly strikes as weird to me.
Then why are you voting for Dsell? I dislike how quickly ashersky was willing to vote for Dsell when it was suggested the lynch should be on the Qvist wagon. In my mind, I started trying to piece together my reads on everyone, and then decided I needed to reread badly. But it seems that ashersky had that Dsell vote locked and loaded.
I actually had "but shraeye was the scummiest vote on Qvist" ready to go, because I thought you had just come in with "no time to read, oh Qvist is scummy, plop" but then I re-read and saw it was Dsell, not Robz.
I'm sheeping the cop, who voted Dsell.
!!!
Ashersky, can you explain this post? And while you are at it, this too:
So, during my beauty sleep, people could maybe weigh in on a) in the light if this new info (Qvist is town), who seems most suspect and b) what to make of ashersky's behavior?
I'm finding you less and less believeable. Like, you feel 180 degrees different in this game from a different one, where you seem clearly town.
Although actually I guess you can't, meh. Well, I'll just say playing as an pseudo-IC is obviously different than being a random dude (that could be of any alignment, really). I feel I have an obligation to lead the town today. It's also pretty cool I might get listened to for once.
If you are talking about a finished game, do specify which one (although meh, playstyles evolve and people post different depending on their mood or whatever, I don't find that a particularly useful way of determining alignments anyways). If it's an ongoing game, you know you can't talk about it yet.
You truly are the king of omgus though, not above suspecting a claimed cop just because "he feels off" right after he notes your behavior is raising some alarm bells.
Vote: ashersky for the night, but I still want to reread and think about the qvist wagon.
What of my claim or behavior is less and less believable?
I didn't vote you, I sheeped you. What sort of OMGUS is that?
100% of all claimed cops are really cops, right?
Your behavior is erratic. It's all over the place. Here's how I see your behavior today (real life day):
"...I'm a one-shot-day-cop and Qvist is innocent!"
"...so, who's scummy on the wagon? Maybe Robz?"
"...okay, I'll vote Dsell, but I really think it's Robz."
"...huh, shraeye pointed out my contradiction in my own posting, it must mean ashersky is scummy!"
"...okay, I'll vote ashersky for OMGUSing me even though he didn't vote for me, which actually makes my vote an OMGUS vote for him saying I'm seeming more scummy."
Did I miss anything there?
I think ashersky's description of the events is grossly grossly inaccurate. Dsell already said he agrees with me. Others, do you agree with ashersky and do you think the actual events make my claim seem unbelievable or scummy?
If you are talking about a finished game, do specify which one (although meh, playstyles evolve and people post different depending on their mood or whatever, I don't find that a particularly useful way of determining alignments anyways). If it's an ongoing game, you know you can't talk about it yet.
And that bolded parenthetical there does not sound like Eevee at all. It's like you copied and pasted someone else's post. It's very...Munch? Shraeye? Jo? I don't know, someone else who plays a lot.
I disagree. In fact I KNOW I've said this once or twice before, I was scum in RMM3 and town in some other game, and people were suspecting me in both games (mainly the one where I was town) for being too snappy and not like myself. Well, in fact it was just real life stuff, some of which I wasn't even realizing yet, that made me have a bad mood. I didn't want to lurk, and never really felt like posting, so when I posted I took the frustration out on everyone on these forums. Sorry about that btw, I don't think I ever apologized. Anyways, this is absolutely incorrect now that I think of it. If you want to contest this, I can maybe look for the game but wouldn't really want to since I don't even remember which game it was let alone where in that game it happened. I think it was day 1 though.
I'm not sure if these votes are because people think I'm actually scummy or just to prod me. I suppose I get it if my spot on the Qvist wagon looks suspicious but how am I supposed to defend myself from that? It was a genuinely scummy thing to do and it's not like I just hopped aboard the wagon with no reason.
Did you even read my long post about the wagon? It was absolutely for no reason! I think even joth agrees, and he was the one driving it.
I believe Eevee and agree with what he did. I also understand why I look scummy to him.
Vote: Dsell
See, I'm not crazy.
See, I still think you are. What in this quote proves your point?
So I'm not sure what else to talk about here, nothing has really jumped out at me as scummy or otherwise. Wondering what people think about Eevee: how much Town cred do we give him for his 1-shot daycop claim? My thought is that the fact that this is a closed setup makes it less likely that scum would do something like that to someone not on their team, because they wouldn't know for sure if there's another scum team or SK, so if Qvist is scum then he knows that Eevee is also scum, and if Qvist is Town, then maybe Eevee put a target on himself to be NKed anyway? Not sure, it just doesn't seem like a smart scum move if you don't know if there are other scum lurking in the shadows. So I'm going to say that Eevee and Qvist are almost certainly on the same team. Next question, how often is it a good play to draw this much attention to yourself to give your team mate Town points? I'm not sure really. Seems like a gutsy move, especially this early in the day when there was no guarantee that Qvist was going to be lynched. So I think it most likely that they are both in fact Town.
/Captain Obvious
Having said that, strange behaviour is strange, from both Eevee and ash.
Jimm is someone who always reads towny to me but holy this post. WHAT ELSE TO TALK ABOUT HERE? You haven't talked about this one huge thing we have AT ALL. There is plenty to talk about in the Qvist-wagon and my spat with ashersky!
Okay, you went on to conclude we are probably on the same team with Qvist. Not very helpful in deciding who to lynch today, not for me at least given I already knew that. Can you explain how my behavior was weird for example?
So this game is moving weirdly fast for me. Like there has Ben no real discussion but a faster legitimate wagon then I've seen. I agree eevee is acting weird but I don't see the eevee qvist scum team. Ash, dsell, robz, I guess I find ash the scummiest because I his interaction with eevee.
Again, how am I acting weird?
@Eevee - To be honest, the "scum slip" thing was jokey, right? I mean, joth may or may not have been joking about calling the Q/Arch team, but I was joking when I agreed. And if you two really were a team, it would have been an epic slip to be caught that way. So that's what that whole thing was about.
I don't understand what you mean here? Earlier in the post ashersky tried to make wagon analysis, I'm not able to glean anything from it but town points for compiling the information and trying for sure. Also for trying to get the game moving faster later.
Having yuma in the game is great. I think he is actually one of the most underrated players on the forums. Impossible to catch when scum, easy to reason with and good at making sense as town. Credit where it's due.
Jimm, theorizing about the package is all well and good, and those are actually some solid ideas. I would prefer no plan, just because I feel that's the way it was intended and that's the way it will be most fun. Also, that way we can't make any glaring idiotic errors. We don't know how much the package is worth yet anyways, but I actually feel it might possibly award me some more day-cops so I might be an ok recipient for it. Lets hope I steal well! ... oh and again, if we have a doctor, freaking protect me please. But the thing about Jimm I was about to write, ALL the stuff you have posted this far has been such that scum could 100% as well post it. You are not participating in a townie way. Now, I can sympathize with feeling like you don't have any reads, it's frustrating. Still, playing like you could just as well play like scum is a great way to get suspicion from me. I find you scummy for your lack of contributions.
Result: town reads on joth, shraeye
Scum reads on Jimm, Robz, (Dsell)
: ashersky looks scummy to me, but has done a lot of pro-town stuff. Archetype looks scummy to me, but he always does and his play fits his town meta well. I still think it's scummy and am not going to give him a pass, but I have to take this into consideration.
FoS @ everyone I don't have a read on. You haven't done enough to leave an impression. You should have.
I think I would most want to lynch Robz at this point for a couple of reasons. First of all, lurker Robz is scum Robz, period. I'm applying LALR (lynch all lurking robz's) until proven otherwise, unless he has irl stuff that makes him truly unavailable. Also, and this is bigger for me, his flip will be information, it will help us with reading ashersky. I absolutely don't understand how you were all screaming DEFLECTIOOOON at Qvist for not asking Dsell a legitimate question when faced with a ridiculous and false case on himself, but don't call ashersky out for this. I express intent to suspect Robz, ashersky replies "no but Dsell" despite them both doing the exact same thing and then later lies saying "no the Dsell vote was YOUR idea". THAT is deflection, the scummy kind. If Robz is scum, ashersky looks VERY bad. If Robz is town, ashersky's deflection wasn't scummy at all, because then he would have deflected away from a TOWNIE which makes no sense for a scum action. Scum could do it, but it's not scummy, town could just as well do it. Now, you might ask why not go for ashersky before Robz then. Well, ashersky has been the single most active townie this far. I haven't agreed with him always, but he has tried to keep this game moving more than anyone. Someone like that we want to keep alive but have as much as information on as possible.
So, proposed course of action: lurkers come out of your holes, start contributing. Put yourself out there.
Vote: Robz888, I encourage everyone to comment on this. What do you think of my line of thinking? If you agree, back it with a vote (without running us to a lynch before we are ready of course). If you don't agree, why? Time to take some positions, people!
