That was I game I was proud of.

My opponent was a little bit surprised and if I'm honest I was a little bit surprised too.
7 Provinces in Turn 11 is really great to pull off.
Do you think I was lucky?

You were maybe a little lucky, but this was an excellent HoP board and you played it well (aside from arranging Estates to skip with HP improperly).  HoP megaturn is always the most satisfying engine to play when I can get it to work.

Yeah, but there's so much in it.

Okay, some strategic comments: Why didn't you dip for HoP's sooner?
$4 or $5 HoP's are already very helpful as they can give you Caravans, HP's, Markets and other HoP's, all helpful cards.
You only need Potion, Copper and 2/3 Action cards (1 less with another HoP in play) to get them.

I didn't understand your early focus on Apothecaries, yes, they're nice to draw discarded Coppers from your HP, but maybe a Golem + Caravan instead of Apothecary sooner?

I just have this feeling it's not that hard to shave a couple of turns off this.

But still a nice game of course, couldn't help myself to provide some criticism.  ;D

Thanks for the criticism. That's why I posted it here. I didn't went for HoP sooner as I wanted to draw my whole deck regularly before doing so. I felt that I needed at least 2 Apothecaries for that and I can't get them with HoP. Also I think I was already pretty fast.

Let's see what I got until the first HoP. I opened Potion / Courtyard.
Turn 3: Apothecary
Turn 4: Hunting Party
Turn 5: Market
Turn 6: Apothecary / Hunting Party
Turn 7: Apothecary / Horn of Plenty

Turn 6 probably should have been Apothecary + Horn of Plenty already. That could have been 1 turn faster. But I don't think you want a HoP on turn 4/5 already because I needed the +Buy from Market and I needed getting to key cards with Hunting Party. Or don't I?

Turn 6, you put an Estate back with your Courtyard, and then you don't use all your money anyway... should have put a Copper back instead, I assume (though I'm not 100% sure because perhaps you want to draw that Copper with Apothecary?)
