What if you do not have a result.

Also you are asking one person "what if they do not have a result" and the other "give me an example of how Math's result was real". Where are you at on that one. I wanna say I have been reading you as believing that Math had no result, but this is confusing.

I don't think math's investigative ability caught scum. I'm willing to be convinced otherwise though.

I feel like my point is being missed here. Let me clarify...

Vote: Gkrieg

In regards to Math:
1. They are flipped Cylon Extremist Yellow People.
2. They had an investigative role we know nothing about. Could be Jack is skum from it, could be a complete lie. Who the hell knows right? Ok... That leaves us with the following options:
2a) Math had an ability to cop other skum, was not lying - I find this unlikely given their huge hedge on not knowing if it was alignment vs town. I do agree with mix here in regards to the whole "if they had a skum result they would go all out", because the only reason for them to hedge would be to set up a defense for the next day when they knew if they got their way that Jack would pretty much have to flip Town.
2b) Math had an ability to cop other skum, they were lying (meaning Jack is Town) - I find this more likely then 2a).
2c) Math was full of shit. Couldn't do any of that. - yep. totally could be a thing. Honestly, probably tied for most likely.

Aight, then we got GK:
1. Open with the result/vote for Math.
2. Doesn't know exactly what it means. Honestly that part doesn't matter... Town or skum they end up on Math either way there I think.
3. Math flips Cylon Yellow People.
4. GK opens today saying Math could of had a real result on a different skum team and votes for Jack.

Ok then take that, rabbit hole it with me for a sec...

The only reason GK was towny at first was prior to the thought of there being multiple skum teams (which I get we don't actually know is a thing, but still)... If we factor it in, the way GK is playing is like, at least for me, is crazy suspicious.
Town cop outs the result absolute start of Day 1 (not copping mind you, unsure of what it means).
Then the exile goes off on the person that they copped, and they open the next day with the assumption that "the other bad guys" got caught and start pushing a wagon on Jack.
What happens when we flip Jack? Either they are Town ... or what? GK is town, caught Skum A, and skum A actually caught Skum B that same night??
Or, more likely IMO... GK is potentially skum. They were the one that copped other skum. They use that info in order to further pursue lynches that they can back themselves out of. Keeping in mind ofc, if we were to exile Jack and they did not flip skum, we would have nothing to hold against GK in all of this.

gkrieg,  do you have any result from last night? Sorry if you already answered this.

Does gkrieg have another result?!

Nope. I could investigate until I found a Cylon and then I lost the power.

Swowl, didn't you yourself push the "Jack could be scum" theory? And Didds agreed? Unless you're all scum, there's town that believes in the idea. And the idea itself isn't very scummy. So why is putting that thought down scummy?

1. I did at first. Thought about it, ended thinking Math was skum. Honestly, if they never started talking about their QT with Ash IDK which way I would of gone. Everything I am saying now is post-knowledge.

2. No clue about WCD, do not remember.

3. The idea itself is potentially skummy. Using it to push a wagon, is potentially extremely skummy.

ah. referenceing the "thinking Jack is skum" bit... I think you were talking about this.
As is made clear by the bolded wording, my point here was that GK is a better option than Jack
The Cylon-Extremists wanting a cylon faction dead? No. Now, a scum team that also happens to have cylons being at war with the cylon-extremists, that makes more sense. I just don't see the point in math's claim if he wanted someone in particular to die.

I get what you are saying, but the way math was presenting his result made it seem like Jack is likely scum. I think that we very likely have multiple scum teams, judging by the yellow color of the scum team so far.

Math actually had some of the abilities that he claimed. He had an investigative power, as well as a QT with ash. I think it makes sense that he had an actual result on Jack.

This is what I was getting at.
Like let's say you are Math and you are Skum Team A... and you have a result on Skum Team B player (Jack). That is literally a perfect situation (I mean aside from GK having a result on Math himself) ((which is also why GK is further down the town list for me potentially)).

But for real, both/either of these results could be Skum Team A having a result on Skum Team B. And if you were to assume that they are not working together, what would the reason be to not give that result. That is, as seen in this game, great town cred.

Yes, of course. But if he did, and he was using it for town cred, that is useful for us.

My thinking came from gkrieg’s couple of posts about it, then your response to him saying it didn’t seem plausible and EFHW saying it seemed unlikely, and so I did some thinking about it and decided it wasn’t that much of a stretch. In all fairness, I’m not sold on the idea (my biggest scumread is LL). I just don’t think it’s that much of a stretch.

I am having a hard time following Swowl down his rabbit hole….which is unusual in and of itself because we usually use words in very similar ways.

You really think my scum strategy is to say I’m a cop D2 completely unprompted and force an exile on my target for some very small town points instead of just letting the day play out normally?

I can agree that my case on Jack isn’t great. I just haven’t seen a better direction to go yet.

Wouldn't he have come forward like gkrieg did, excited he found scum?

No, I am just having a hard time following him.  I think LL is scummy. That is who I want to vote for. If they come back, I will.

Nah, it was just referring to the fact that no one had more than one vote on them, so I felt like I had the power to start a wagon.

Maybe Cylons only start voting once enough people have started voting.

Vote: scolapasta, if only because he's been the least active this day.

Glooble! Good to see you!

Why Jack?

It's half "something has been feeling off about him" and half "I don't think scum!math fake-claims a cop result on a random player to save himself". We almost certainly have a scum faction other than Cylon extremists and the narrative where mathdude had suspicions that Jack belonged to that faction makes more sense with what I know about mathdude than him picking a target at random.

Of course what trips me up there is how hedgy he was about Jack- if he knew he would have claimed his cop ability was alignment specifically.

Does that make sense?
