I'm sure they probably have seen this, but in the first game I played with the app, 4-5 cards were not readable. IE I saw the title and picture, but when I clicked on the card, the text displayed to the left of the card and on top of itself rendering it illegible.

This is such a rudimentary bug that I trust they'll fix it soon, but surprised to see it in a Beta edition.

Woah. Color me an optimist but this sounds promising. A better UI/UX would definitely get me playing Dominion more often than I currently do.

Yo! I don't know if this is wrong place to post, but here's something worth checking out.

Labyrnth games in DC is having a tournament this weekend. I won't be able to make it but the organizer said they are still looking for a few participants. This Sunday in DC. Do it if you can, the place is a great venue and they have a fantastic selection of games available.

Well I won't be there sadly. As awesome as it sounds. Rock on without me.

woah woah woah I thought this was all December based. Count me out then. FLGS = friendly local game store.

Labyrinth is not available near Christmas but if it is January maybe y'all  can swing something. They also already have begun planning a Dominion tournament January 4th.

I'm not in DC right now, so I can't ask for sure, but the owner is super friendly about those type of things. I'll send an e-mail. As for the library stuff... I think many libraries offer this. Namely there are a few near Shaw if I remember correctly.

Issue with Labyrinth is that Christmas is chaos and thus I imagine they will be working after hours to restock the store while we are there.

Just going to selfishly shout out Child's Play as a great FLGS. My family and friends manage the local chain and if anyone wants to get games while in DC check it out (disclaimer: Christmas is a hell of a time).
@theblankman: Check out Rockville's Child's Play in Congressional Plaza. It won't disappoint.

I am interested in this! I can help transport people from college park to bethesda/dc. I can NOT commit to hosting people at my house sadly. I also can't promise availability on the 25th - family time and such.

I have all of my Dominion sets at school unable to bring them home sadly. I do have a friend that has everything through dark ages more or less.

I also know multiple good FLGS. I reckon one that is more in the city (but easily accessible by Metro) would let us use their space for a tournament. It's called Labyrinth and has lots of table space for Dominion.

Also doable: during the day renting out rooms at libraries can be done. Seems a bit goofy but gives us all space in which we can play.

Just food for thought.

Goko Dominion Online / Re: Schedule matches with f.ds just for fun

Generally free 8PM and later (forum time) for much of this week. Would love to get in the swing of things. Have a low rating right now (<4k) due to inactivity but can play. Own no cards and use the salvager but don't NEED the point counter (mild preference for it).

PM me if interested.

12
Someone should set up a poll/Google Form and have interested parties fill it out.

13
Return to DC on the 15th, home until the 2nd-3rd. Would probably be able to make it over on most nights between then and I have some friends who might care to join. Can't say if my fam would be comfortable hosting internet people for the night. I'll ask - if it were my own place wero and others would be more than welcome but unfortunately that is not the case.

Also because I don't check f.DS on a regular basis, if anything starts to fully take form, PM me.
Also I'd rather not do MAG fest because money.

Goko Dominion Online / Re: F.DS room on (public) Goko - Outpost?
« on: November 23, 2014, 11:22:36 am »
Someone anyone please play me in Outpost. My rating is down to <4k after a big absence but I still have most of my mojo. Iso level is 34 but can't hop in most games because they are 4k-5k minimum. Older players will remember me as at least decent at Dom...

I'm in DC for a bit and would love a meet-up. One place to look into is a game store called Labyrinth Games. It's downtown DC (think Eastern Market) and has table space. It hosts game nights weekly but they get crowded with people who don't see the beauty of Dominion. I would imagine if one were to call, it could be arranged to host a Dominion fest there. I know they have table space for at least 25-30.

I am interested and have no sets. Also, as of late, in case you haven't noticed, I haven't been really checking the forums or playing much goko. Is there anyway I could get stuff e-mailed to me so I don't miss out by accident on my weekly matchup?

Don't you have the forum sent to email you links to your PMs?

Hm that should be helpful. I vaguely remember seeing that somewhere.

I think you can make f.ds send you an email when you get a PM.

Yeah, that was a pretty easy thing to fix. I'm a doofus.

Well no need to rub it in. Way to kick a man while he's down.

Puzzles and Challenges / Re: A very strange kingdom/setup
« on: September 23, 2013, 07:55:16 pm »
This setup has Alchemists, but not Potions.
It has Horse Traders, but no Reactions!
Platinum is available, but Colonies are not.
Followers may be gained at some point, but the same cannot be said of Trusty Steed.
Lab, [insert other card that can thematically trade horses], Vault (you have platinum in your vault), any Village (they follow you)

Stables would work here, no?

This probably has been asked before, but...

Feature Request: A noise of sorts when you have been called upon by Goko to do something related to the game. I know for a fact I'm not the only one who wishes to be alt-tabbing while playing online.

Help! / Re: Help Me Untangle This Board
« on: August 27, 2013, 12:09:48 am »
I like these thoughts, but I guess I am curious as to how this would turn out in the mirror. Getting the Duchy split would be huge, obviously. After that, protect Duchies and go Estate->Duke->Province, I suppose, while being especially conscious of piles.

How is it that despite owning Dark Ages and it being so much older, I still get more confused by it than I do by Guilds? Especially Knights and Rebuild.

Help! / Help Me Untangle This Board
« on: August 26, 2013, 10:50:11 pm »
I played this board recently. The key players here are Rebuild, Knights, Duke, and Feodum. There's other stuff, namely Lab and Stables, but here's my problem:

I don't really understand Rebuild/Duke interactions.
I don't really understand Rebuild/Feodum interactions.
I don't really understand Rebuild/Knights interactions.
I don't really understand Knights/Alt VP interactions.

So yeah, help me out. I ended up going for Knights hoping to trash yed's Rebuilds and Duchies, but he picked up enough Feoda(sp?) that it wasn't an issue for him. I figured I could trash enough of his stuff that Rebuild wouldn't be fast enough and I could pick up enough VP's via Dukes to stay competitive. It didn't end up working out that way.

What's the best strategy? It seems like a whole bunch of RPS here so what opening would leave me most flexible? I would guess Storeroom/Silver but maybe Silver/Silver would be better considering that 5 is a key price point and Storeroom's terminal draw isn't good here.

The important question is, what kind of cool code names are you going to come up with for the ballots?

I'm not. I feel that the name of a card is part-and-parcel with the rest of it. I understand the idea of voting based only on the card's effect rather than the name, but I don't agree with it. I could definitely be convinced otherwise. You all have a week to try to convince me if it's important to you.

If I were to use code names, they'd be Pokemon.

Me for every voting round:

Yeah does this mean I can get something like DA for free and it will be cheaper than $45? Would love to know.
