That goes really amiss though if Des is an SK rather than a vig, you see?

It will be painfully obvious whether he is an sk or not once we know all the PRs.

No, it won't be. What if we have a second vig claim? What if we have a second roleblocker claim? A cop? These are all claims that would take up two letters. How would we be able to tell truth from lie?

That's one benefit of the massclaim, so we know these edge cases now and know that the SK is one or the other.

I couldn't agree more with Robz. I think a massclaim is a bad, bad, bad idea.

The only claims I think that should come out are a Mason claim, or a cop claim with a result. Nothing else.

I think cop claim with living town results would be good in this case too.

Okay listen up people, this is important.

The goal of massclaim is that hey, we know there are a total of 7 Ts distributed amongst the players. We know where I think 4 of those Ts already are, and we match that with what we know as scum. And then everyone claims, and we either end up with too many people claiming PRs (so we know one of those PR people are lying), or we end up with the exact right amount and we know one of our VTs is scum.

The PROBLEM is it's easy to get thrown off. Like, okay, what if Des is a SK, not a Vig? Axxle claims he roleblocked Des each night. Well, let's say Axxle is telling the truth, but Des was actually the Serial Killer. This means we actually only know of 3 Ts, not 4, and the actual scum scenario is one with an SK. This is perfectly possible by the way. Well it would throw off our entire post-massclaim scumhunt. And that's bad.

The bottom line is, massclaim is a shortcut that might pay off but could also really, really screw us. Being that we are in such good position, I' not sure why we need to risk throwing that away.

Vig is a VV role, SK is a T role, it should be more obvious if he's vig or sk after a massclaim than if he claimed something else.

We had a very similar situation to this in Mafia XII. We massclaimed on Day 2, we got all our PRs outed, and we lost horrifically.

We've killed all but one or two of the scum and lost none of our prs.

Currently we have: VVMB with three letters not claimed.  I think the only combinations left are TT, T, 0T.  There is at least one more PR left.  9 players and 4 prs.  Massclaim won't win us the game but might get us close.  Actually I think with the current roles outed we might be able to go down the line pretty well, vigging and blocking all the way down the line.

Right, but we have NO way to differentiate between which claims are correct, and which ones aren't. We'd be left with everyone having a feasible claim, and unable to tell which ones are true, and which ones aren't. But guess who will know which claims are true -- mafia will! We won't gain anything, but mafia will.

We might be able to narrow it down to a VT falseclaim or a PR falseclaim, but yeah, I think we can make things work with the current outed roles.

Investigative proof and it depends on the timing, I'd probably claim a oneshot power since it's risky and if it works I'm basically cleared.

Tomorow(today actually the 23rd) is my 21st birthday and I have a job interview so I will be busy almost all day, I will try to keep up from mobile but don't want to be rude to anyone I am out with. I will have consistent access till about 1 an then will be v/la the rest of the day.

My birthday was yesterday!  Woo!

Ok, here's the deal. I am a Town Vigilante. The last two nights I tried to kill Axxle. Neither attempt succeeded (Obviously).

There are three reasons why it might not have.

1. I was roleblocked

2. Axxle was doctored

3. Axxle is SK, and picked 1 shot BP

Now, in what order these all happened I'm not entirely sure, but I must say I am comfortable with an axxle lynch today. Again, he only posted twice yesterday.

Why did you roleblock him each night?

I thought he was in the wrong position in each end of day wagon.  On day 1 he voted off the WS wagon, distinctly without voting with WS.  This was a tossup between you and him, but I thought that you wouldn't perform the kill anyway just in case you were roleblocked.  On night 2 I saw that there is already two scum voting for mcmc, and Dest was again voting off the scum lynch, so I blocked him.

side note: Looking back at all the votes I really doubt you're scum now since I doubt you'd all pile on one guy just to save the goon.

I think mailmi's push on me makes it pretty clear I'm town, he was going for the easy mislynch.

I don't get the liopoil kill from a mafia perspective, I'm thinking that comes from town.

I think everyone should claim, we still have all of our power roles and can probably solve the setup now.

From scummiest to towniest:

spiritbears - his actions today scream scum that wants to confuse
Dest - he's voting position seems very scummy to me, but being a vig might explain why he was so big on targeting me yesterday.
werothegreat - he comes across as behaving more confused than he should be, he might be faking it as scum.  Breaking the lock yesterday seems like he's mad he couldn't save his teammate but trying to make it look like he's just mad to be left out of it as town.
Eevee - I remember there being a few phrases from eevee that comes from scum more often than town, but I'd have to track them down to be sure.
Robz888 - Still reserved here but I think his play might have been a bit different as scum, I think he would have bussed the goon and not the godfather, not the other way around

Going through trying to see what changed Robz's opinion of mcmc (he had him pegged as super obv town in one post)

Do not like the wording Eevee uses for his reads in this post.

Robz - Too good to be obviously caught, but the little things are adding up.
WinterSpartan - I thought he was really insightful in RMM7, has been smaller of a presemce here which I find suspect.
Box - I'll suspect you until you post more.
Wero - Ditto, you two are not taking very many stances, I don't have any stronger suspicions so I PoE to the least controversial players.
sudgy - I feel your playing style is such that I'll always suspect you, but you are playing like you did in RMM7, maybe you'd be different as town?
liopoil - I feel dumb writing these because I'm basically randomly assigning everyone in the middle.
Destierro - Ditto, I cant say anything about you guys. No particular suspicion or trust in most of the guys in this game.
Axxle - Yeah yeah.
yuma - yeah yeah again, yuma just always seems towny I dont remember anything specific, I guess I should do a big reread if I wanted to be of much help.

Myself & TA - Well, these are two townies if I ever saw any!

You'll need more than just "I don't like the wording" to explain what's scummy about it, at least to convince me. I’m intrigued to hear more, though.
