I don't even understand. My card picking was pretty much random, I took cards I like in dominion and cards that seemed to be cool as power roles. Did we even know our alignments when we started the draft?

Vote: Eevee - because I knew my alignment when I drafted.
Seems I did too, just forgot. Carry on.

I also thought I didn't know my alignment when I drafted, but now that I went back and looked, yes I did. So no FOS for Eevee there, I did the same thing.

I don't understand why Frisk hasn't clarified his Jester claim yet. And no one else seems to care.

Are you a jester, as in if we kill you, you win? What is your win condition? What are your cards?

I'm obviously not a jester.  I was illustrating a hand full of jesters (all cornucopia), and then for fun i claimed jester.

I was about to switch votes to Y_N for appearing a bit happy to form a wagon but Cayvie's later support of what I feel to be inherently ant-town makes me happy with my vote where it is at.

I think Town stands the higher advantage with ignorance as to who holds what cards. While Town may presumably use the information in later game to deduce who is scum I think Scum gets the higher early advantage of sniping the more powerful card holders which they cannot do in ignorance. I feel this game actually levels the night time playing field for Town and by divulging cards we tilt the night-time field back in favor of scum.

you really think that

a) there's likely to be strong differences in power level between players' hands

and

b) mafia will be able to recognize the strongest hands from set names?

I misread something earlier and was really confused about how the claiming is gonna go down. But I guess it makes sense. I'm still not really really behind the idea, but I'll follow suit if that's what people want. It doesn't hurt as an experiment.

I think he was awkwardly pretending it was RVS even though we'd already had some theory talk. I thought he might be serious at first but he has to be telling the truth about joking...

That's what I'm saying. There's no way you're lying. But it just didn't come across as jokey at first since we (I think even you) had kinda skipped RVS and were just talking about theory.

Exactly. The goal is to reduce useless RVS as little as possible. We were out, and you dived right back in.

And you're always scum.

I don't like it either (because RVS is stupid). But to be fair, I don't see it as a particularly scummy action.

Robz is kinda taking this all very seriously. I don't think RVS is very helpful, but honing in on someone for a joke is a little silly too. The problem, and the reason I can identify, is that it wasn't obviously joking at first. But anyway I don't think it makes either one terribly scummy.

I guess I could see them doing something like that to set up conflict as scumbuddies but that is not a serious theory, it is far far far too early to be seeing scum and especially scumbuddies.

Well, presumably you won't want to claim which card you will play tonight until after the flip (if there is one)

I propose at the very least set claiming all 5 cards today, and then tomorrow claiming at least the set of the card played.

This puts folks with promos, at the least, at a disadvantage.  When there's so few, it makes it easy to point people out.
Remember, only Mafia members have the 'promos' (kill modifications). These are given to them at the beginning, and then they pick 4 cards.

Please note that these kill modifications aren't actually in their hand. I just said they were actual cards for flavor.

Set up is 3 Mafia, 9 Town. No other alignment is available.

I usually play very seriously. I don't care for RVS or much early-game humor. (The exception is if I am over-committed with games, then I tend to lapse into nonsense. But at the moment I am game-deprived.)

Ok, I can't see any benefit from set-claiming. I mean we will know nothing more than before.
Yes, it won't hurt either, so I'm fine doing that.

Mass claim sounds like a good idea. But we should wait until there's an appriopiate moment.
Probably day 2/3 when we have already some PRs and they could verify claims with their power.

I don't liked that claim, no matter if it was fun or not CF. I keep my vote on you for now.

I don't have a town read on Frisk, but I don't think making bad jokes is a good reason for a wagon.

I said neither of these things. You did. You are leading the witness, so to speak. Scum behavior.

What I know is that with the exception of one of my cards the effect is easily deduced by the card name.

You shouldn't vote for behavior you deem anti-town, you should vote for people you think are most likely to be mafia.

Ah, now I did understand you. And I agree.
Yeah, but that early in the game, this is the only anti-town behaviour I see. So I keep voting for CF.
