Is There Ever Something NOT Missing?

The answer is no, something has gone missing again!

In fact, more than one card has gone missing.
If you discover the common quality, you will discover the missing cards.

The given cards are, in alphabetical order:

Band of Misfits (posing as any listed $4- card of course, listed for completeness)
Bishop
Governor
Mountebank
Torturer
Vault

I'm looking for 3 Missing Cards and an Honorable Mention.
Can you find them all?

I'm not so sure about the exact wording of the quality, but I start with Council Room and Margrave

Ah, you seem to have fallen into my little trap.
Not really, but that's not what I'm looking for.

Urchin, Minion, Pillage, Mountebank? I tend to be really bad at these things. My original guess was that these cards had in common the ability to leave an opponent with a 4-card hand.

Dondon is on the right track, but not quite there.

If no one gets it, I will reveal one of the missing cards in due time.

Oh wait, then Bureaucrat should have been another card in my suggestion, which would have exceeded the parameters of your puzzle. Told you I'm bad at these things :P Can't even give a correct suggestion for my incorrect suggestion.

I'll admit I deliberately left out the least obvious ones.  ;D

My shot:
Honorable mention: Young witch
Tournament
Mountebank
Duchess
- Cards where the other players choose if (or how) they want to be affected

1 Right!

Mountebank is #4, I always forget one!

There apparently were 4 lights cards missing and Dulkal found Mountebank, which also fits, see first post.

Beggar, Market Square.
And that concludes it.

The common denominator I had thought of was:

Cards that let your opponent voluntarily decrease his hand size if he chooses to do so.

It has to be voluntary, so Militia-style attacks don't count.
Torturer seems like a cheat, but the opponent can always choose the Curse.
The same is true for Mountebank where you don't HAVE to discard the Curse, although you'll often do so.

Fool's Gold, Beggar and Market Square are all reactions that either get trashed or discarded so they can't be stacked.

Horse Traders is an honorable mention, because even though they discard it, it increases an opponent's hand size once his turn starts.

I hope you enjoyed this one.

I hope you enjoyed this one.

It was pretty good. I'm generally a little wary of "what's missing" puzzles with more than one card missing, though, since it seems like it's more likely that there'll be a solution that's not the one the author intended.

To be fair, there's always multiple "correct" solutions. In this one, a valid answer would be Scout, with the criteria being "Cards whose names appear in the set { Band of Misfits, Bishop, Governor, Mountebank, Scout, Torturer, Vault }.  ;)

That's true for IQ tests as well.

What's the next number?
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

It literally could be anything, because another set might start at the 10th position - possibly with the same increment, like 3001, 3002, etc...

Although generally you'll get the gist of what's asked and respond with conformity.

I was thinking 42.96*pi + sqrt(2) - ln(52.999983)*i

Why doesn't Tournament qualify? It's the same as Mountebank, with Province instead of curse
Ok, it's not :D
