Sorry to create yet another thread, but I thought it would be good to have a place on here for people to list when/where they're streaming League games, as I guess quite a few people will do it.

I'm streaming D6 league match tonight, 2000 UK time (1500 EDT, 1200 PDT) against Tables- should be a good game, as we're friends/frenemies/ex-housemates twitch.tv/joseph2302

I've begun to realise that I have some serious internet issues at the moment. I have a possible solution in mind I'm going to try out which I expect will fix things, but if I can't get that to work, I may need to drop out since I'll end up probably disconnecting from quite a few games.

As it turns out the solution I had (plugging in an ethernet cable) not only failed to work, but also set me back around £8.50 AND seems to have made the problem worse. I can probably return the cable at least (since I don't actually need it) but it probably means it'd be best for me to withdraw from the tournament for now, since I lose connection pretty frequently nowadays.

Because of this, I won't be streaming our match anymore tonight, as it isn't happening, sorry

In game 2 I was dying. You messed up the Develop: okay, whatever, you should be more careful, but mistakes happen to all of us. But then your next (second-last) turn, you have the win and don't take it: just use your two buys and 22 coin tokens to buy two zero-cost cards and empty Oracle/Village. Actually it looks like it's only the live streaming that's affected - if you watch the match from the archives (even though it's still going on), it works okay. I'm guessing there's something weird about your streaming settings, like maybe a very low keyframe rate, that's making it impossible for live viewers to sync up but doesn't affect recordings. So while the recording is delayed by like half an hour, it does seem to be working.

If you're using OBS, I've found that it likes to use whatever your default device is for audio input, but you have to restart OBS after setting your default device or else OBS doesn't get it. I haven't had any luck with actually messing with OBS's sound settings.

Maybe that helps, it's what I struggled with for a long time before figuring out, at least.

yes, I'm using OBS. No, that didn't work. Now I can't get it to make any sound at all. Before it could at least make some noise, it just would be very low quality, pick up little noises quite loudly, and also loop back on itself for no reason every 15 seconds or so. I would say "testing" once and it would work once... but then it would say it over and over again. But now I can't get it to do anything...

I've messed around with all the settings... then reset them back to the default... and nothing changed.

Hmm, well before OBS seems to have found a different microphone than the one you were expecting. Are you using a laptop with an integrated microphone? You aren't going to get good sound quality with one of those for sure. As for the echo, well, you'll want to turn your stream preview off while you're streaming or that's almost always going to happen.

Are you also trying to use a headset? You'll probably want OBS to find that headset, and if it's working for anything else (like Skype) then OBS can usually find it. If not, the audio settings *may* be helpful but I've never messed with them directly and had anything good happen. Make sure it's not just your default communication device but also your default device -- that's helped me before.

You can try adding a new source on OBS and not touching the settings for that, is that what you did when you said you put everything back to the default? That's what I'd recommend.
