Exactly - why would I 1v1 here? scumapasta here could've just as easily claimed VT, which would create a 1vX, either fang is scum or there's a scum roleblocker hidden amongst the town's VT claims. This would've still made fang suspicious, while allowing scumapasta to stay hidden in that pool.

Others are usually more adept at analysis, but do we really think scum doesn't vote for exile both nights? Especially considering they knew Joseph was town, they must have discussed and wanted to make sure at least one was on Joseph's exile, in order to not be too  obvious.

(I forget who made the argument that those who hedged on Joseph's exile were scummy, but that seemed particularly weak to me)

That would mean either faust or joth should be scumpartners with fang.

I think a lot here depends on what the scum team is. Assume scola claims VT - what then? Presumably we would not exile fang; afer all he claimed a strong PR, and we would have expected some other useful PR.

So where will we turn? fang's out, Dylan's out. For either of us, we know that we're town (or pretend to) - and I'm sure scum doesn't relish the prospect of having to go up against one of us. That does not leave many misexile options for scum. All in all, I feel like scum's position with a VT claim is more precarious than we'd think at first.

I also wanted to add that fang was apparently the biggest scumread of the IC and scola the biggest townread, so the 1v1 we got is the safest possible 1v1 that scola could get.

I think I've made up my mind, and I really do think the exile should be between scola and fang. I'm very likely going to hold off on voting until it is actually X-1, but no guarantee.

I wanted to say that I got nervous about the swing towards scola... but then I realized that Didds could have hammered and didn't. Which means Didds scum/scola town is not an option.

Right now the only possible scumteam involving fang is joth/EFHW/fang. (if me or Didds were scum with fang we would have hammered.) Just for the sake of my sanity I want to make sure that that's not the team.

joth/EFHW/fang spread over 3 wagons, that's about to be expected for a scumteam, but 2 of them bussing seems a bit excessive.

Night 1 starts now and ends at 4:06pm EST on Thursday, December 9th.  Actions must be submitted by that time.

The only argument against the team would be that EFHW would stay on the bus for this long. But the MiX exiling went pretty quickly, and in the end EFHW actually supposrted MiX's sacrifice, even without unvoting. This post certainly seems to indicate that she did not intend to stay on fang for good:

I reread fang. His early posts are pretty fluffy, but then later he does seem to be doing scumhunting. I feel less confident about my vote, but this being D1 close to deadline, I'll stay there until find something better.

There isn't a lot to say about D2.

Night 1 I investigated Joseph and got result Town. So I know I'm not insane.

Ideally, I think I’d prefer we exile one of his partners in case he’s not scum. If he is, it will be easy enough for us to exile him tomorrow.
