It doesn't seem totally out there. But then, nothing at the moment seems totally out there - the structure of the setup is such that nobody knows quite what's going on.

If we could find out who NKed ashersky, I think we would know a lot more about the situation than we do now.

So some thoughts:

Gloobie, yesterday you were saying exiling you was pro-town. Is that still the case? Any reason why you haven't mentioned it at all today again?

Known (or suspected) Cylons are Dylan and EFHW.

I'm also curious about the Cylons vote - still unsure if it's controlled by the Extremists or Cylons more generally. But I still think we should continue looking at Cylons in general. I don't think all remaining Cylons are necessarily bad, but if there's another extremist they must be Cylon, no? Setup wise we've had 2 Extremists already, there's a decent chance of another.

My read currently is that (at least) one of Dylan or LaLight is scum. My vote is on Dylan as the 3rd Cylon Extremist maybe? Would explain the quick volunteering, maybe even hoping if there's a 4th that that person would join and then they'd have a QT to plan.

But of course we can't vote Dylan (or LL*). I don't want to vote gkrieg or Jack. And Mix seems fairly towny, not saving math (unless there is another team). That leaves EFHW, WCD, Swowl, and Gloobie.

* Can someone reiterate the case against LL?

If there is a town Cylon, my guess is that's EFHW.

So I'm planning on voting for Gloobie, Swowl, or WCD, pending Gloobie's answer above. (and if Dylan and LL still join us before the end of the day)

It’s not that exiling me is pro-town exactly, but it’s better than exiling a random townie. I have an ability that triggers if I’m exiled. It’s kinda useful but not that useful. I don’t think it’s helpful for me to say more than that.

I think town!Glooble pointing to something as a scum tell and then shortly thereafter doing that thing is a lot more likely than scum!Glooble doing that.

I'm also kind of interested in the fact that Cylons aren't voting right now.

I think we should not discuss this interesting fact for the time being.

You really think my scum strategy is to say I’m a cop D2 completely unprompted and force an exile on my target for some very small town points instead of just letting the day play out normally?

I can agree that my case on Jack isn’t great. I just haven’t seen a better direction to go yet.

Your case on Jack is that flipped skum (Math) could of actually had an ability to check other skum and found them (Jack).
My case on you is that unknown player (GK) could be skum that had the ability to check other skum and found them (Math).

These are essentially the same thing.

Then, your defense is that you would not come out the way you did because small town cred and why do that. Fair. And this is where I admit that my case is also not the best.
However, this pretty much perfectly summarizes why I think you are more likely skum than Jack.

Wouldn't he have come forward like gkrieg did, excited he found scum?

Yes.

Because of the hedge that Math took on Jack, I think it is EXTREMELY unlikely that Jack was copped as skum.
As to why you would play it that way - No clue. However, it is also strange for you to play it that way as ANY alignment, so not a super valid argument.

So there is all that, and then the fact that you continue to defend your stance on Jack. I think from a Town POV you should of by now come around to the same thing I came around to, which is "Math would NOTTTT hedge like that if they actually had a result on Jack".

Maybe Cylons only start voting once enough people have started voting.
*snip*

Day 1 Cylon first Vote count seen:
Vote Count 1.10
MiX (2): ashersky, A Drowned Kernel
A Drowned Kernel (7): Jack Rudd, 2.71828....., EFHW, WestCoastDidds, scolapasta, mathdude, Cylons
LaLight (3): Swowl, MiX, Glooble
No Exile (1): LaLight
Not Voting (2):  Dylan32, gkrieg13

That is 12/14 players.

Day 2 Cylon First Vote Count:
Vote Count 2.3
LaLight (1): MiX
MiX (1): LaLight
mathdude (3): gkrieg13, Dylan32, WestCoastDidds
Jack Rudd (2): 2.71828....., mathdude
Dylan32 (1): scolapasta
gkrieg13 (1): Cylons
Not Voting (4): Jack Rudd, EFHW, Swowl, Glooble

That is 8/12 players voting.

Given we had 4/8 voting at the most previous VC, and currently have 6/8 voting... I find that unlikely.

The D1 wagon is proof that math wanted to claim to control the cylon vote after his death. There's no way he would've done that unless he did control it. So, I think it's fine to say that the cylon vote will never move again.

(which seems different from this game, since mathdude was given both a number and a name and flipped with his name, not his number)

Gotcha. Have we considered no exile today? I'm not normally a fan, but with Dylan and LL of who knows where, it could at least be worth considering?

I did not think that math hedged on Jack. I think that he said a few times that we should exile Jack first, to show that it wasn't an alignment check and then exile him, which now that I'm typing this, does seem to make it less likely that Jack is scum.

I do... but it was with the intention to stop the conversation.

Also, MiX's point about the vote not potentially moving anymore is interesting. My theory was different (not talking about it rn), but yeah, if it doesn't move again that one makes the most sense.

Leoban Conoy is the name of a cylon. He's cylon-aligned. It would be very hard for Leoben to not be cylon.

Also, Jack swapped characters, to Ellen, I think?
