here's a thing i've been wondering:

how likely do people think it is that there's a scum/scum district out there?

depends on how much scum there is, I suppose. I don't think we should base scum reads off of district.

So I'm in the midst of a reread and wanted to point out this conversation. It made me think that mail-mi may have been trying to sound out if there's a traitor

I'm not really objecting to your vote. I'm objecting to the idea that we have to lynch someone who wasn't on mail-mi or Raptor.

On what grounds though? I mean obvously "have to lynch" is a pretty strong wording that outright dismisses other options. It's also a wording I never used.

Do you think we are more likely to find scum on the wagon? Who do you think is scum?

Sure, I worded it poorly. Regardless, I don't think it's good to just focus on the people who weren't on those two wagons.

i currently have many townreads but not very many scumreads. I need to do a reread, which I hope I can get to tonight or tomorrow.

On a reread I realized that shraeye's whole "we should claim our rank" and "#1 isn't going to be killed by scum" was likely (he didn't say as much but it's what I gathered) based on believing that scum was able to collude during the ranking phase, so that's basically a townslip from him

Looking back at mail-mi's list, I think it's unlikely he put multiple partners on the scummier end of his list

Hmmm....this is good to know. I believe Ash to be town (at least for now, he has fooled me before, so there is that) so I’m willing to trust his assessment for now.

I’ve been voting for LL for awhile now, but not for any reason of substance, just general feelings.

I have no reason not to find them scummy at this point... I have a slight preference for them over Raptor because there was that one game one time that raptor was awesome on D2.

Okay, I've reread all 24 of LaLight's posts, and I'm still pretty confident with my vote on them.

Here's my D1-case:

- Voting history: LaLight jumped on the Scola wagon when it first formed and my wagon, with no real reasons. So there's opportunistic voting here.
- Most posts are short, and many of them are just fluff, with only a few content forming posts.
- This:

I was pretty high up top the draft order, so you might want not to lynch me here, guys

is not really a defense, scum could also be high-up in the draft order. Not necessarily alignment-indicative, but not a good defense.
- This:

why are you so fixed on me? this just feels weird

In my experience, scum tends to notice others reads on them more often than scum does. So this makes LaLight more scummy.

Here is my D1 LaLight case, maybe not the strongest thing, but good enough for D1. Let's lynch him.

This was my thought about LaLight as well. I do not think we have reason to believe that is a bad lynch

I still need to go back and read MiX carefully, but I am knee deep in boring administrative work right now so I don't have time right now. In a Mail-mi v MiX world, I am more willing to vote for MiX, just on my sense that is playing with a deliberateness that seems uncharacteristic. But he has been scum a lot recently so maybe my meta-meter is off, I don't know. Still, in the interest of consolidation

Then, as we're nearing the end of Day 1, I start the raptor wagon, there's three votes in rapid succession, and then WCD joins the wagon 4th

But then she switches back to MiX soon after mail-mi posts an intent to hammer, and raptor claims to have a "healing role".

all in all, combined with my weird vibes i was getting off her day 1, i'm gonna vote: WestCoastDidds

that's two different times she put forth a pair of candidates, each one including a now-confirmed mafioso, and decided to vote for the other one. and then i think she was pretty clearly hesitant to lynch raptor at the end, but felt she had to go along or look scummy.

A mistake. She did not think Lekkit and raptor were scummy at the time, she thought they were lurking. Replace the relevant sentence of mine above with

Couple of things.....

I won’t quote Cayve directly because it would be huge.

But the first point was that I didn’t want to vote for raptor because he was awesome on D2 in another game. He was awesome In a another game on D2. And I said that well before there was consolidation and more in the time we were talking about lurkers. Having some frame of reference for the lurking was better than no frame of reference.

I went back and looked at the list I made in the Qt for ADK, and my scummy/lurky folks were Glooble, Raptor, Lekkit, and Mail-mi. (EFHW and LL were my scummy, not lurky ones). I know I posted that in the main thread, too, but I’ll hav eye go find it when I’m at a computer.,

The next thing argument is that I preferred MiX to MM and that is scummy.  I haven’t played with MM enough to have a sense of his play, but MIX was/is playing more laid back than usual.

Then going back to raptor was scummy? That doesn’t make sense, but here is my thinking....I voted for raptor shortly after Cayvie because I would have rather lynched a lurker than MiX (this is a typical sentiment with me), but then the votes on him came in quick succession. It felt too fast and perhaps being driven by a heap of scum. I didn’t unvote because he had healing, I unvoted for him because of the speed. When faust called MM chicken for not hammering, I wanted to take a breath because that kind of baiting seems really weird to me. (It still does! Like maybe MM and faust are buddies) At that point, I it felt like the decision was between raptor and no lynch. So, I went back to raptor figuring that even if it was a mislynch, we weren’t losing much in terms of interaction.

I was stunned that he was scum. I haven’t been playing all that long, but I don’t think I’ve ever been part of lynching scum day one. Especially not in a last few hours zero-to-lynched move. I’m also stunned to be alive, figuring that revealing my draft order was a death knell, but that it wasn’t useful to speculate that scolapasta was #1 when he wasn’t. I guess I still might be poisoned, so we’ll see.

Anyway, being tentative and voting for lurkers isn’t a surprise from me. I appreciate that cavyie is trying to take a good look, but the LL follow is less impressive.

That's some unfortunate coincidence for WCD, to be sure.  Also seems like not great scum play to put forth two pairs, one each with confirmed scum.

Are we assuming 3 mafia + 1 SK?  Or 2 mafia + 2 werewolves?  Either are possible, I suppose, and mafia chose to use the delayed shot to confuse.  Then SK shot mafia on purpose or accident, and WCD is the third mafia?

Can you provide an overview of the case against scolapasta?  I assume it is reads-based.
