Oh shoot somehow I caught Volt's question and thought that was the only new post. I'm really surprised that he still had attack cards, not surprised that they're low but that doesn't matter so much when he gets +41 from the warp. There is some stuff I can do but we really need to stop him from getting more of our ships in the warp.
I'll play the Citadel Flare to add +5 to the defense.
@Volt: Any given game of Cosmic is unlikely to be perfectly balanced, but every alien power does have other powers (or events within the game) that serve to check its power. Like theory said, the primary source of balancing comes from the players themselves, and while this can occasionally lead to kingmaking scenarios and whatnot, it all tends to work out really well. Furthermore, for whatever reason there are already a crapton of ships in the warp this game, more than usual I think, which of course is a boon for the Warpish. There are cards, though, like Mobius Tubes and Rifts, that takes ships out of the warp, and there are a lot of occasions (especially with specific other alien powers like Anti-matter and Loser, some hazard cards when playing with the hazard deck) where the mandatory nature of the power makes it a huge liability. And then there are always Cosmic Zaps which negate alien powers for a turn.
