The scola wagon is based on nothing other than Shraye’s completely unsubstantiated assertion. That is typically Shraeye, but the follow along looks scummy to me

She feels more like she's trying to blend in than in the last couple of games I've played with her. And this LaLight vote feels like a very easy vote to place on someone if you want to pretend to be scumhunting.

nah that wasn't scumhunting by lalight at all, that was just sheeping. rereading lalight, i get the same impression i got in the last game, of a player just sort of floating on top of the game. i guess he was scum last game, so that's something.

Or possibly, ashersky as I'm not convinced of the "I also believe round claiming will provide me/royal us info for narrowing down possible scum claimants. It’s one of those “if I explain further it no longer works” things, though." argument.

I think it has to. I’m at a small liberal arts school and too many of the faculty have been staunchly against distance learning for forever, but now they are being dragged into the 21st century whether they like it or not. That genie isn’t going back in the bottle.

that wasn't the only thing i was hedging against with discouraging roundclaims, you know. cat's pretty much out of the bag on that front, however.

as i've mentioned, roundclaims also divide people into "those who selected from these X items" and "those who selected from these Y items (four of which do not exist)". and that also can help scum target PRs.

and most importantly, i see little to no town benefit to roundclaim (beyond Ash's hinted-at information)

so, a minor detriment vs an even smaller benefit means don't do it, in my book.

I am kind of floating on top of the game, especially D1, because I don't really know what to do, to be honest. There was a game when I was town and lynched D1 because of that, so it's not AI

I've been the newbie that was lynched day 1, it ruins the current game and the next as there's nothing to read them over. It's a waste and new people are easier to read anyway, especially if they're scum.

And yeah that was a little over the top, that's how I roll.

Not often that I straight up agree with MiX, but I do here. There is no time that I get lynched that it doesn’t hurt my feelings. (But I’m tender like that and so that feeling isn’t new to me because, you know, life.) Anyway, I have been playing codenames with Scola, I think he’d like mafia and suggested that he play with us, so I’m not going to participate in getting him lynched on D1 before he gets to figure out how awesome this game and our community are.

I appreciate the sentiment. But I'd say don't "not lynch" me just for this reason, I can handle it. That said don't just lynch me because shraeye's upset that I wouldn't tell them my draft order.
