Yeah, no lynch is bad.
Space, why did you shoot Teamlyle?
I believed that it might be advantageous to have the scenarios Calamitas was pushing for later on, and it was a way of signalling to town that there was a vig in the game without doing so in a way that would give me away personally, since I was rather keen at remaining anonymous. Normally, I'd have had to vig someone I thought was definite scum, or it would be foolish to pick townies off. Teamlyle gave me the opportunity to signal there was a vig, but not to do so in a way that meant that scum could look at the person who died and see who was scumreading them in order to trace back to the vig. I was really very frustrated with the lack of scum-hunting in D1, though, so part of it was just to shut Calamitas up, really. And also, I was townreading Robz pretty heavily in D1, and he'd suggested it. And as for why I wanted to signal to town that there was a vig in play, I've never played as a vig, and I've never even lived past N1 as a town PR before, so I'd been hoping for more help from town to work out how to play it. You'll notice that mostly the only person who's been talking about what the vig should do has been Robz, though. Other than JR saying I shouldn't have shot teamlyle, that is... He might have been right, and the UB thing was actually careless play on my part -- I should at least have checked in my QT first that the rules were what I assumed (that UB would just take on the second role if RS was the first to die), and it wasn't till I'd asked in-thread in D2 that I realised my mistake. However, I worked out that the chance of there having been a UB in the game at all was reasonably low given that I knew I was vig, and that was info that the rest of the game didn't have till after the two N1 kills became apparent.
