i kind of want to wait to respond to this; it feels like it's coming from scum, but, as per your day 1 plan, we're likely going to find out whether you're scum or not very quickly.

Well it can't be 100% accurate, but we'll see what happens. I want you to post your reasons now. I find you suspicious based on your day 1 play, and you immediately (and for I think the first time all game) suddenly find me scummy. At the first point I could actually be voted for. That's... pretty suspicious, to say the least.

I think the cop claiming is probably the best course of action, BUT I would like my question above answered first. Although having said that this game is not going to be that long, so... eh.

Except, I never said that. I said Eevee was attacking you, and it was over nothing. It seemed insincere at the time. Here's my notes from the spreadsheet:

I haven't gone back to check exactly what was said there, but that's not directly relevant now. What's a lot more relevant is that you just twisted my words, which were right there, right in front of you, and proceed to get extremely defensive over what was a relatively minor accusation. Defensive is good, OMGUS and word twisting as your first defence, that looks pretty bad.

You're implying I haven't given good reason to be suspicious of you.

You've twisted my words, and your response to that was to accuse me of having "decided to come out gunning for you," instead of giving a reason why you twisted what I said.

You immediately attacked me for being suspicious of you, instead of trying to defend the accusations made.

You've since failed to provide, I think, a single defence of any of the things you've been accused, preferring instead to accuse me.

Of course, it's not Cayvie I have to convince is scummy. It's everyone else. There's a whole day to have discussion in ahead, but I'd like to see what others have thought about Cayvie's posts here.

I dunno what to say about the Tables/Cayvie conflict. I haven't found either of them particularly scummy and I don't think either of their arguments are very damning on the other. I still would guess that Tables is town (although it's looking less and less likely that we have a cop (Question for mod: can we winvote someone who is already fully evolved?).


I'm debating whether to reveal my night action. Like I mentioned before, it's not exactly very pro-town, though it could be put to good use in the right situation. I think I'll remain cryptic about it for a while and if something comes up where I really really have to reveal, I will. I'm definitely not begging for winvotes though. On that note, do we want to winvote Tables again? Obviously if we have a cop and they are yet to reveal, they could be a good target.

Another thing, do we want Tables to claim? If we winvote him, he'll be at his final stage, and I'd like to know whether it's even something we want around. If he is some great PR (barring a cop claim or something), we'll protect him anyway, so it's not as if we're at risk of him getting NK'd.

I agree with Dsell. If there turns it to be no Cop, Tables should most definitally claim. Both his current stages power, and his evelution's power if we choose to win vote him.

Yes

Mod question: Is it valid to winvote someone who has reached their final evolution? Will the be protected from nightkills?

Ok, here goes. I'm sort of the cop. My Fury Swipes power is currently a role cop- it tells me the names of a player's moves. But as Golduck, I learn Fling, which is an alignment cop. I role copped tables yeaterday, I can name his moves if he wants to prove myself.

Ah, but... emphasis mine. A strict reading might imply the evolution was contingent on evolving, which they don't.

Anyway, Joth, go ahead and name the rest of my moves. I'll name one of them in a second, right now I'm trying to find the PM with them. I can remember two of the move names but not the order they appear in. And the PM is hidden among a mass of Resistance votes, Through the Ages discards and other such nonsense.

Okay, found it (I have conversation view, so it was right near the top where I replied to it, not a few weeks ago where I was looking ¬_¬).

Although I've just had a second though. Why are we doing this? We should wait until everyone's come on and (not) claimed proper cop before we reveal everyone's moves, surely? And especially we shouldn't winvote him on the grounds of his claim, this could easily be a scum power, right?

Actually I don't really see any damage to revealing my moves, so, whatever.

My first move is Leer. My second is Scary Face. Joth can tell you my third, but it doesn't clear him.

Probably because you had only evolved once when the cop resolved. Then you evolved again at start of day.

this "come in as the voice of reason in a conflict" attitude is very similar to how he behaved as scum early in Domafia. (check this page)

ringing particularly false is the bit where he's like "I don't think either of their arguments are very damning on the other."

I haven't actually made any arguments against Tables!

@cayvie: Ok so don't call it an argument then, but you did say you found him scummy.

I don't want to put full trust in Jo here, by the way. I definitely want to winvote him, but I could see a situation where he's mafia and didn't see anyone claiming cop (because maybe the mods didn't want both a cop and doctor mechanism in the game) and jumped on the chance.
