And what does it prove?  We wait for scum to kill me and prove my claim?  Gives town more time to take night actions?

What it doesn't do, is take unnecessary shots, that may or may not be helpful to the town, thus allowing a SK CF easier path to victory

What it doesn't do, is allow for bussing or redirecting. If you say "I'll kill X", and Y turns up strangled, you'll swear up and down that you targeted X - and we won't know if you're lying or not.

What it DOES, is extend the game by reducing deaths - and it's been shown in past games that the more game days there are, the better town seems to do, because it creates more information to work with. This is especially true in Role-Madness games.

Sigh... a role madness game in which I can't use my role :(

I agree though - for all of the reasons other than the SK one - since I am not SK.... I can just feel my impending doom coming and I don't like it.

But...earlier you said that you had other powers, and as long as there were any left you had a kill. Ie your kill was something of a secondary role. Is your thirst for blood clouding your head?

@DSell - only 1 power.

I did in fact target insomniac.  I strangled him:

Quote
Flavour name: Lazy Jack of All Trades
Role name: X-Shot Strongman Vig
Alignment: Town

Abilities:

You are truly a jack of all trades - and a master of none. Unfortunately, you spent all of your free time working out instead of practicing with weapons, learning how to track people, investigate them etc. On the plus side, you're pretty strong.

If you have any shots remaining, you may choose to kill someone at night. This kill is unblockable (breaks through doctor protection, bulletproof, etc.).

I'm not going to disclose the value of X.

I chose to target insomniac primarily based on #584

@Lekkit, I will say I am not what you think I am, and if I was it would still be a bad idea to try to lynch the SK day 1.

@Eevee Forgot I wanted to respond to your wanting to OMGUS me over the Jorbles thing. You should probably also note that I'm not the only experienced player who thinks I'm right ok. Robz has also voted for Jorbles, and Galz said that while he wouldn't yet he completely sees where I'm coming from.

Can't say anything about the ice cream though.

Better than a Role-Madness game where you've essentially been assigned "no-role", which is the case for me. i don't blame eHal - it wasn't intentional - but it's how it worked out.

I always get the best roles. It's giving me a sense of entitlement, if anything.

2 discussions on the subject from what I can easily search.

Robz, can you "quote" your Role PM and the one where you get hit by my paintball?

BTW, Robz, you can post your role to clarify how it works... as long as you don't include the original quote tags. Just like other claimants have done.

Quote
You may claim that something is taken word-for-word from your role PM and you may use quote tags so long as the verifying info is omitted from the tag.

Eh, I've said what I needed to say.

You can copy/paste the whole PM, unmodified, in a quote box like this as long as you did not include the timestamp of eHal's original PM.

On frisk, I think he should shoot, if we are believing him over the others (for the record, I do).  I think generally speaking, if he has a strong scum read, especially after Robz flip, it helps town for him to shoot.  Folks in other games probably know my philosophy as vig.

The SK worry exists, but SKs can help town in the beginning, and they need to kill mafia as much as we do, especially early.  Due to the other issues mentioned, I don't think we should direct or have it public to ensure delivery of the kill.

That is all predicated on trusting frisk's claim, which I know isn't universal.  Just wanted to drop in some thoughts before I go check my mail and get bogged down with work.

Man, forcing people to quote their PMs sure is fun...

So the summary of last night's claims is:

Vig Frisk strangled Insomniac
MYSTERY PLAYER Ice cream coned Insomniac
Jorbles strawberryblocked Dsell
Watno cyanified Jorbles and Insomniac
Robz stole Jorbles's paint
Jo vanillized Galzria

am I missing anything important?

I think that is the extent of the claimants.  Galzria has semi claimed no role.

Guys, I don't see how Robz could have killed Insomniac.

If Watno is telling the truth, then why didn't he see Robz do it? If Robz is ninja, then why is he covered in paint? If Watno is Robz's scumbuddy, then why is Robz covered in paint?

Maybe this has been explained, a lot was written last night.

The fact that Robz is refusing to quote his PM is quite strange. I think he might be scum, but I'd still prefer to lynch Frisk, because I'm pretty sure he is. Frisk being scum would also be an explanation why i only noticed one player targeting Insomniac.
If we let Frisk live, I think he shouldn't shoot, since I don't trust him.

@cayvie Frisk is the only I noticed tageting Insomniac or FRISK, not Jorbles. However, it seems that there was someone targeting him who was not noticed by me. Robz is covered in paint anyway, so I wouldn't notice if there are traces of it on him from killing Insomniac.

So you're saying Robz is covered in paint because he targeted you, he got jo's flavor by targeting him, and he targeted Insomniac to kill him?

I'm not refusing to quote my PM, there's just nothing in it that's helpful beyond what I've said. But here you go:

Quote
Flavour name: KELPtomaniac
Role name: Thief
Alignment: Town

Abilities:

The Seaweed life is a hard life.  Stuck on the bottom of the ocean (or lake?) floor, it takes everything you have just to survive.  But whatever your troubles and pains, you always held your head high and reached for the stars above the waves.  And the sunlight.  Gotta love that sunlight.  Of course, whenever you are able, you are happy to lift a little extra from the chumps (and the chum) around you.

Each night, you may target one other player to steal something from them related to their flavour.  Depending on the target and what is stolen, this may have additional effects such as roleblocking them or granting you a 1-shot ability.

You may save stolen items that give 1-shots, but you can only carry one of each (no saving multiples).  You can only use one 1-shot at a time, and you can’t steal on the same night that you use a 1-shot.

I have no idea what the seaweed stuff is all about.

Watno sees people because they get some paint on them. If Robz was already covered in blue paint, Watno wouldn't see the extra blue paint from killing Insomniac.

For what it's worth, the seaweed flavor sounds sort of like Spongebob to me.

So did the fingerless glove, actually, if you've seen the Spongebob movie.
