I think we have a record in this expansion for cards that mention themselves on themselves - Madman, Spoils, Rats and Cultist all do this.  Actually, do any other cards in the other sets reference themselves?  All I can think of are Transmute and Golem...

Madman and Spoils don't reference themselves, they reference "Madman Pile" and "Spoils Pile". Like Black Market references "Black Market Pile".

Edit: or NV references "Native Village mat"

After checking,

Black Market and many of the cards with tokens and mats- Embargo, Pirate Ship, Island, Native Village, Trade Route- reference themselves, too.

And yeah, so far fully a third of the Dark Ages cards we've seen have been self-referencing, but only eleven cards before Dark Ages.
