i wonder. i saw 3 nightkill items in the list; we know where the nightlock ended up and the bow's been claimed, but the trident is still out there somewhere, potentially.

I mean, mail-mi had me fooled after the hammer. Looking at it I can see how he probably hoped raptor would never make it to L-1, but once he did hammer was inevitable so take it for town cred.

Just seems more likely to me that LaLight would look something up on a wiki and get it wrong than get their PM wrong.

Also, not sure Motion Detector actually makes any sense with LaLight’s softclaim in #333. It’s not a terribly powerful role, especially in RMM.

Thought about it, but wanted to wait until I had time to read the thread in light of the flips. I’m hoping that will yield an even higher suspicion on someone.

Because based on what I was thinking, #1 would very most likely be mafia.  So A) mafia don't kill themselves and B) we were going to lynch #1.  Hard to be the NK when you're already out.

I was under the impression that mafia knew their teammates before submitting their preference list.  I double-checked the rules during my initial setup thoughts, and came to that conclusion.  Then Galz's answer (here) was just to requote the rules that had initially confused me.

It seems everyone now believes that mafia got the names of their partners AFTER submitting these lists.  I...mostly believe this.  DatSwan kinda cleared things up (here) except still not 100%.  If the question is "when do badguys know who their partner is?", why isn't the clarifying rule/answer "for example, non-town aligned players will not know any of their teammates when ranking".

If another town member got a vig item, they could have shot him.
If another scum faction (SK or WW) exists, they could have shot him hunting the other team, which they would know exists after seeing the flip.

No reasons to automatically jump to "thought he was town" as the reason for the targeting unless you actually had that thought.  There were other, viable reasons for other scum to kill mm.
