I think his claim makes more sense coming from scum, and his reads overall seem generic and uninspired. It's like he's doing everything to justify why he doesn't get nightkilled.

I think the case for not being NK'ed is that if you are town, you are more likely to shoot town, which helps scum.
The other case for not being NK'ed is that you are scum.

In my experience, scum tends to notice others reads on them more often than scum does.

Scumslip? Surely scum has a harder time keeping track of which alignment they're meant to be talking about.

If I'm honest, when I started typing that post it was mostly a joke. But scum does have to type "I'm Town, hope we lynch scum" while thinking "I'm scum, hope we lynch Town"; I suspect that mistake is very slightly more likely to come from scum than scum.
