The loss of anyone is a reason for grief.  There are some -- friends, family -- that we never expect to lose.  It is their losses that are the hardest to accept.

Matt Mason's body lies in repose, and in the dawning light he could be sleeping if you were not to pay attention.  But his chest does not move, and almost everyone has a broken heart.

A stranger nears the body, tears streaming down her face.  She takes Matt Mason's cold hand and sits next to him.  She leans forward and whispers to him, "I will never forget you.  I will avenge you.  I promise."

She turns and looks at the rest of the group.  "I'm Rita.  And I do not forgive."

Some other notes: I typically give townpoints to bad hammers. But that was a really bad hammer. I didn’t like it, it made me unhappy.

It wasn’t a bad hammer. It was 5 hours to deadline, with talk of a shift towards me. I hammered at 2:00am my time, deadline was at 7:00am. I had to sleep. I’ve seen more wagons than I can recount switch in the final 5 hours. I wasn’t willing to take that chance. As there was an infinitely better chance of Pubby flipping scum than me, there was absolutely no second thought to that hammer.

Oh I very strongly disagree with that sentiment, although I appreciate it nonetheless. Faust is in a different time zone than I am, and Faust often gets what he wants. I’m not at all convinced I wouldn’t have been the lynch choice there - and honestly, it wasn’t worth the risk.

Further to that point:

If I at all shared your opinion there, then there would’ve been no reason for me to put myself into the scrutiny that hammering there does.

Now, there’s an infinite amount of WIFOM there from me making that argument - but if you honestly believe what you yourself have stated then you must equally acknowledge the validity of my statement above.
