Alright Eevee, Swan thinks we can finish off with the given clue set:

Ranch (4)
Palace (3)
Flying (X)

So far on our guesses, we’ve made connections to 3 Palace words, 2 Flying words & 2 Ranch words. It’s possible we’ve misguessed into some overlap (If Tale or Witch were somehow supposed to be associated with Ranch), so we’re not necessarily looking for 2 Ranch words here, but I feel like we probably are.

Ranch generally brings to mind two categories:
Farms/Western/Cowboy/etc
And Dressing

As far as dressing goes, the only word I could make an argument for is Olive - not that one necessarily eats them with Ranch Dressing, but both items could be found in, say, a salad.

For the first category, Well is a strong contender, I think, as something that’s often found on a farm. Beyond that... I mentioned Heart previously, but that’s a stretch. Whip... maybe? I could see an association with cowboys there - I think Lasso more than Whip, but it’s probably stronger than Heart. Tablet, Seal, Lion... not feeling anything strong. Luck... Horseshoe? Ring I’ve got nothing for... and East works if you’re thinking Ranch -> Western -> East, but that’s a little stretched.

So we've had 1 Team Two win, and 2 Team One wins so far. Small sample size, and so far relatively balanced, but my gut says that Team One just has such a massive advantage, despite the extra word. If, over three rounds, they average 3 words per round, then in order to beat them Team Two needs to average 4 words per round in the first two. While you're likely to be able to pair one 4 word clue during play, the likelihood of doing two seems long. And if Team One ALSO gets a 4 word clue, then they only need a 2 word and a 3 word over the final two rounds to take the victory.

I guess on the flip side is that Team One is always guessing against a larger grid than Team Two. Team One has 25 words, Team Two has 25 minus whatever Team One flipped. In round two, it's the same concept, minus all flipped words from Round 1 so...

I don't know. Like I said, we've had a small sample size and no clear winner over that, so... maybe my gut is wrong.

I think first player advantage is accentuated in the forum version because the games tend to last fewer turns. IRL we play with a 2 minute shot clock (for thinking of your clue and the guesser getting all their guesses in), so it's usually not such a big deal because (good) big clues are harder to come by. I would still always want to go first, but I don't think it breaks the game or anything like that.
