Basically we’ve never done it. There’s no data on how good or bad it really might be. I mean, the setup post says bad guys get two fake claims. So, there is that. But other stuff isn’t fakeable.
Like, think about your own role. Here are the calculations I think each town player should make:
—how much more likely am I to be targeted at night if my role is known
—how much more likely are other town players to use their own powers more usefully by knowing my role
—how much more likely is it that there are ways scum use the knowledge of my role against Town other than killing me
Assume 70% of town believe your claim. Apply the answers to the above to those calculations. Determine if the results are more pro-Town than pro-scum. Then you can decide if mass claim is good. (Well, technically, if your own personal claim is good.)
So, if my made up answers are 5%, 40%, 20%, I might decide the benefit outweighs the detriment by 15%, applied to 70% of town. Maybe that’s not worth it.
