Are people being serious about flavor claiming having utility? I can't tell.

Actually flavor claiming is straight up terrible.  VTs have a known identical flavor name, so it would just out all the PRs.

People are talking about claiming whether you voted for Physics or not.

Which is about as useful as asking "Do you prefer scum or town" and trying to WIFOM the answers IMO.  But it's not actively bad, just pointless.

I didn't like the flavor discussion, so I voted. Other people probably started voting for similar reasons or because little evidence is needed to place a vote during D1.

That was a rvs joke i was thinking about the game even started, that would be funny if the flavor will be weird and non-popular just because scum cooperated for choosing it. Actually i helped us out of rvs luckily.

I think what LL did was fine. Not really misleading or harmful to town, and anything to get the game going gets a thumbs up from me. I think it was towny, if anything.

LaLight seemed serious and as soon as he got any criticism he's trying to play it off as a joke.

The fact whether someone voted physics or not is actually not irrelevant. But since there has been too much discussion on it I don't see why scum should stick to the truth there which makes it actually pointless. But the info itself could have been worth something.

Okay so about the setup.

We have a Jailkeeper who I'm sure is smart enough to figure out how to use their power and we need not talk about it.
We have a Vig who as we know should not shoot until at least the mid-late game.
And we have a Named Townie who has dreams of catching scum but will probably never happen.

Scum have a Rolecop which should help them PR-hunt quite a bit.
If they get a JK, it may be helpful for them given the PoE they will have already been doing.

Ultimately the best thing we have going for us setup-wise is the possibility of blocking a scum kill. As I said, this doesn't really need to be talked about any further, so for now we should pretty much treat it like a vanilla game and focus on scumhunting.
