SA has a lot of good points. Scum read weakened, now actually more of a town read.

I'll have to look at e and ss too. I'll just have to reread this whole game if I ever get time.

Oh, and also, I don't think we should be considering the objective of this day phase to be just to identify and lynch off one scum.

I think we need to get as clear as possible an idea who all the scum are in order for town to have a fighting chance. We're going to have to make a concerted effort to attack them in the night, rather than carpet-bombing a handful of targets solo like mail-mi did and damaging townies in the process, because that just plays even more into scum's hands. They're already too strong, so we need to pull together!

I'm legitimately okay with just lynching Ghacob if it comes down to it - an inactive player isn't good, and maybe we can just shoot scum dead tonight. I just double-checked the wincons and we don't lose even if we're down to 50% of the players, we only lose when Team Town is down to 0 worms.

Please take note of this updated rules segment:

Inactivity

If any player does not post in the game thread for more than 48 hours straight without prior announcement, they lose 30 health the first time and are subject to replacement the second time. Players who do not post in the game thread for more than 72 hours straight are subject to replacement as well.

Unless we're granted extra time for our Ghacob outage, D2 ends at 11am Forum Time on Sunday. So please, Mail-mi and anyone else, respond in plenty of time that we can do the following with room for everyone to engage:

1. Discuss e's claiming order.
2. Actually do the claims.
3. Verify the claims as necessary.
4. Construct a town night-time strategy that is robust enough to withstand scum interference.
5. Lynch us a worm-scum!

Hint: that's a lot to do, so let's all get thinking and reading and talking :-)

I did miss this post. And I almost think it's scummy. You have a inspirational speech but there's no backing to it. Even with claims, the picture won't magically paint itself. This isn't a dramatic, successful airstrike. This is a grind, and we should treat it like that. We're going to take damage and we're going to have to get a little lucky. With so many scum floating around, we can't really pull together at all.

In your re-read, please notice the following:
1. There's a bidding thing, the mechanics of which are neat, and you should be sure to understand them. You'll want to make your bid for N2 ordering by the end of the day.
2. You lose health for being awol. I'm guessing Ghacob already lost some, so you might want to be extra-careful.
3. The game looks a bit unbalanced towards scum from where I am right now, so if you're town, we really need your active support asap!

I thing the priority should be a reads list first.

Putting Ghacob first in the claiming order was primarily on your say-so. I don't think we should do the full claiming exercise until we've had a chance to discuss the claiming order first. If Haddock thinks you're practically IC like many other seem to, then that's one thing, but I'd like him to form an independent impression first. Same for all the other quiet players here, really.
