I absolutely thought it through that way. The question is whether more people winning while I'm losing has a higher value in my mafia-utility function (which vastly differs from my RL utility function )
No-lynch might result in iguana shooting himself with some weird modifier or something like that, so there is a chance of me winning there

Also think of it from a distant perspective. it is much more interesting if the player who switched alignments 4 times, got lynched without dying and got RR lynched without dying gets MVP than if he dies at LyLo

Do you know the scenario with the rational taxi customer?

The rational taxi customer has no reason to pay when arriving in town (in a scenario without police etc.), so the taxi driver won't take him
