I'm at an airport in Cyprus and looking to kill some time.
Trying to get into games on goko is painful given I have no rating on the site.

Anyone with guilds want to host me in the next few hours?

I found someone to host me by chatting in one of the lobbies (before I saw this).

But now it's just showing a big loading bar and nothing is happening. Maybe because I'm using the airport wi-fi? But the rest of the internet is working fine (like here while I'm waiting).

Is this normal?

I tried refreshing but it warned me 'the game is in progress do you really want to do this?'

Now: 'Connection to game server closed'

WTF?

Huh, I dunno what's going on.  There shouldn't be an issue with the game starting.  I dunno if I have time anymore, gotta be somewhere in half an hour.  Best of luck with getting some Guilds in.

This re-visit to Goko has been super frustrating. First, no one wants to play with someone with low rating - so the only option is finding people like Shark or playing all-Base Set games. Then a bunch of frozen loads. Then I play a base-only game and half way through the whole thing re-sets (I have to re-log-in to Goko).

Even when I find someone I know (Stef was there. So was Obi) I have to go from lobby to lobby to find them. And they are usually playing a game as soon as they finish.

Then I tried waiting for them (and typing this up), but it kicked me out of waiting in the lobby...

Just got a game with NomNom!

See how this goes....

I'd love to give these guys money, but they are making it really hard for me...

Now it's telling me Goko is not available.

I'm playing innovation on iso and it's going fine. So it's not the connection.

Google can't seem to find them.

Maybe it's due to the airport?

I'll play with low-rated peeps, anytime you want.  But I rarely play pro-rated games, so I probably am one of the low-rated players myself.

How do I know if it's a pro game or not? Can you tell from the main screen?

Pro-rated games have an orange trophy, casual have a green star, unranked have a blue shield (casual≠unranked)
Play against the bots a few times to get your rating up to like 5000.
