I like science fiction.

eHalcyon: How many times do you think on this thread someone posted before you and you had to come up with a new question?

4-5, I think.

Robz, have you ever designed a full, complete tabletop game?

Game of Thrones, Bob's Burgers, South Park, Little Mosque, Colber Report/Daily Show (tie).

eHalcyon: If you had to pick a Dominion card for an avatar, which one would you choose?

Robz, have you ever designed a full, complete tabletop game?

Absolutely. Well, partly. I never designed, like, the pieces--we always just stole those from the regular RISK set. But I made gigantic, elaborate maps on posterboard, colored them with colored pencil and markers, laminated them, and designed the cards for the games. I seriously have a dozen of these. I designed several fictional worlds--at least one set in space--and made a bunch of boards based on established mythology. I think I did Pokemon, Super Mario Bros, Zelda, the University of Michigan, ancient China, Medieval Europe, Lost, and at least 4 wholly fictional ones. I might be missing some I can't think of. They usually contained between 2 and 3 times as many territories as normal Risk, with a bunch of other rules, including morale, upgrades, items, etc.

Does this surprise you? Clearly I'm crazy for games.

I meant a new game wholly yours, not fan stuff for another game. :)

Silk Road, I think.  The art is quite nice and I haven't seen anyone else with it.

Um, going back a step, Robz, any attempts to write a novel?

Both of you need to figure out how to ask questions.

Robz/eHalcyon: Would you be interested in looking at the Hex Deck I posted about in the "Other board games" forum?

That was the first one I missed, and I was editing it in!

I must have missed that, but I'll go check.

Answering Ehal: Well, the versions of Risk I made actually have very little in common with the original, but I have not ever created a wholly unique gaming project, no!

I do write fiction periodically, including novels, and have made several attempts to get my short stories published. I will be trying again soon. The big problem is, I write for a living, so in my free time I don't always feel like firing up the word processor.

Answer to wero: I can't fit in another game right now, sorry! I'm swamped as it is.

Question for Ozle: What do you do for a living. Serious answer pleas~!

Star Trek is a big one.  Most real-life like science fiction is nice (Star Trek tries to do this but fails most of the time).  I remember when I was watching the Avengers and understood their technobabble.  That was pretty cool.

Question for Ozle: What do you do for a living. Serious answer pleas~!

Where would be the fun in that! I might as well start posting under my real name and talk about Dominion and stuff!

Unbelievably I have a very very boring and serious job, one that has 'Secret' level clearance!

Haha, naaah, what I really do is hunt stray dogs down and take them to the Pound, or possibly Disney Animation studios.

3
1 to Screw the bulb
One to run the simulator and the last one to find an edge case for not needing light.
