Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later, especially because it was so exploitable. Anyway, I brought it to the attention of Goko that someone could just refresh their browser and cause the game to crash and it won't count as a game lose against that player.

Anyway, player TLN, ranked number 2 on the pro board has been taking advantage of this. He was about to lose a game to me and obviously does the browser reset causing our game to crash. This is also being discussed on GetSatisfaction where others have played against him and encountered the same thing.

Trisha/Goko has said that refreshing like this (and thus not finishing games) will lower your rating if it happens too often... I would hope that's something that will be implemented.

Which of course isn't the appropriate way to handle it, anyway. Disconnects should count as losses, period. It's the only sane thing to do.

And browser refreshes should not disconnect from the game. That would also be sane.

Happens at a rate of ever is too often. But jonts is right, because if it crashes very often in a way you can't try to fix by the most normal method (refreshing), then it can legitimately really suck, but if you leave it as is, there's a huge way to game the system...
