Is is just me or is anyone else offended by Goko? I am a long time fan of Dominion, it is an amazing game. Seriously, it's brilliant but Goko is absolutely atrocious. It's awful. I would love to hear everyone else's opinion on the topic.

What, specifically, do you find offensive about the Dominion implementation itself? Or is it just the infrastructure and avatars that you find distasteful?

It's awful, but not offensive in the slightest!

People blocking the milk fridge at work is much more offensive in my daily life!
Although work give me free tea, so it's better than having to go to starbucks (mainly because I hate coffee) and paying a small fortune for horrible tea
Although they did threaten to take the free tea away the other month, there was uproar!

Sorry, slight diversion there, I'm just really pissed off about those people who stand there in front of the milk fridge for no reason and wanted to rant somewhere and this seemed the thread to do it!

why? why? why exactly? be more constructive with your feedback please.

Where does he say he is giving feedback, he is just giving his views!

I think you mean to ask him to justify it rather than constructive criticisms

I'm offended by people who don't turn on their turn signals.  I automatically assume so many evil things about those people.  Also, people who spit out their gum onto the sidewalk.

I try to cut people a bit of slack when it comes to turn signals, because even I occasionally forget to use them. On the other hand, nobody just forgets to not spit their gum onto the sidewalk.

Don't be confused with everybody's going offtopic, I believe most people share your opinion, but we are a bit tired talking about it...

We've got a few roundabouts, just not many. Also, in my experience, people are better about using their turn signals when turning, but lax about using them when changing lanes. Or maybe it's just more important to use them when changing lanes, so I notice it more when it doesn't happen.

There are roundabouts over here, just not quite as many, or ones quite as large.

Yeah... the problem is that while progress is being made, its not quite enough, and there's no expectation that it ever will be.

@Hooforfoo - you could stand to be slightly more constructive.

I have an American GPS, and it tells me they're called "traffic circles", as in, "ENTER TRAFFIC CIRCLE, THEN BEAR LEFT"

I switched the voice to the British voice, because it's more pleasant, and she calls them roundabouts!

However, the British voice fails to warn me about bears. So, it's a trade off.

The most confusing roundabout in the world, and also one of the safest because people drive so slowly, undoubtedly out of confusion and terror.

There are some big differences between a roundabout and a traffic circle. In summary, roundabouts are smaller and you are not supposed to change lanes within them, while traffic circles tend to be larger, may contain traffic lights(!), and you are supposed to change lanes to maneuver within them.

As to the actual topic, I also somehow find the idea of the goko implementation offensive. It offends my sensibilities that goko tried to replace a perfectly respectable implementation (isotropic) with their own version, and has so far failed fairly miserably. This costs $$, and aggravates the customer base. My efficiency node is throbbing with pain.

Insert Stereotypical Insomniac slightly defends Goko and has cautious optimism

I have always found the one at Hemel Hempstead worse

I've been through it - as a passenger - and it was terrifying... and we only had to go one exit

Well, it lets you get from any one of seven different roads onto any of the other ones. Pretty big interconnectivity there.

I'm not sure why, but people spitting their gum into urinals bothers me more (maybe because I see it more?). Not the sort where it just flushes away, but the sort where some poor chap has to reach in and fish it out at some point.
