I absolutely love playing Chicken toward the end of engine style game where both players get dangerously close to that imminent 3-pile ending.  The thrill as you try and calculate the buying power of your opponent and the current score etc. is just such a rush!  Anyone else have any favorite "mini games" within the game of Dominion?

Is quite curious - Who is the mystical "Celestial Chameleon"?

My favorite Dominion pasttime is seeing Scheme, Black Market, or Develop on the board and just gleefully spamming them while losing all perspective and almost certainly losing.

I really like using Pawn for +1 Card/+1 Buy.

My favorite: inserting a dramatic pause between each play of KC/throne room. (Works best if your hand is kc/kc/kc/kc/dead card)

My favorite is playing mindgames with people in IRL games when Contraband is in the kingdom. It's fun on Iso but oh so much better IRL when you can confuse and metagame your way to getting the cards you really want.

I was playing this one game with my friend who had built a weird Count engine, and when he went to play the last Count of his engine, he felt the need to scream:

"I PUT THE FINAL COUNT DOWN!"

He did this a couple other times over the course of the game, each equally hilarious.

In real life, there's a combo that's fun enough to play that I tend to go for it, even though mechanically it's pretty meh.

What's the combo? Well, you need to make sure you announce it loudly as you play it...

*pointing somewhere on the foor* LOOKOUT! MINE!

(You can substitute a number of other funny cards for Mine, but I think this works best)

...spin-offs are still better for all of the previously cited reasons.
But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

Ironically, I just played a game with those 2 cards as a comboalbeit with BV, Stables and Cartographer and won!
