People on Goko vs Isotropic?

So I've been stalking Goko for a couple days now, and I noticed I don't really see usernames that I recall spotting on Isotropic. Has this been other people's experience-- does it seem most people aren't Isotropic veterans? Or are you all just changing your names? Of course I realize that a lot of users could have changed their names, but I feel like I would recognize at least one...

(Of course, there's the fact that Isotropic players are relatively polite in my experience, and a lot of Goko games have ended with my opponents ragequitting and cussing...)

I haven't been looking super hard, but I haven't encountered anyone whose name I've recognized, either. It makes sense to me though, as playing on Goko when you could be playing on isotropic makes absolutely no sense.

Since it now costs money to test bugs (other than in Base), even fewer of the Iso players are going to be over on Goko.  They almost certainly won't be in multiplayer matches.

Also, I'd imagine very few people who use the forum would change their usernames; quite the opposite, I registered just to make sure I could keep Kirian over there.

I have been playing on iso again because a) I missed playing with all the sets and b) I'm sorry, but there's no way I'm paying money to test an incomplete product.  at least I made a dent in the leaderboard...

I jumped on the pro leaderboard on launch day, but ultimately decided that goko isn't for me... Yet.

I'm getting my fix from Iso for now, and then I will probably retire and check back in a few months to see if they address any things that make me not enjoy playing there.

Since the paid beta is already implemented, they really should sweeten the pot to participate. It could be something simple like: if you buy your sets during the beta test, you get 25-50% off. That would actually make me consider it, since I'll end up spending money if and when they've got the kinks worked out anyway.

But like others in the thread, paying money to be a beta tester is not very appealing to me.

Wait what, I didn't realize you had to pay for the other sets. That is hysterically awesome. All this Goko stuff cracks me up.

Huh?  That's been the payment model the whole time.

I will play on iso until it shuts down. Then I will shell out money. ... For cards. And I will try to find real meatspace friends to play Dominion with. Maybe even from this forum. (whatup NYC!)

Also, this is contingent on me having money at some point.

Kirian,

During the beta, that is. That's amazing.

Oh, right.  Yeah, the question of whether a "paid beta" should even be a thing is a reasonable one.

The only iso guy I have seen on goko is Captain Frisk.  Of course, I haven't played for a while.
