Bastard Mafia rules blatantly stolen from Bastard Mafia I.  Changes are in however I felt like

I will not be lying at all in this game.  The rules of the game are all defined in advance.  I will however, be omitting as much information as possible. 

Mafia Ruleset (blatantly stolen from Axxle, as always)

Game Rules:

General Gameplay and Etiquette:
1. You may not quote private Moderator-supplied information (either real or fabricated) of any kind. Paraphrasing (for role claims, etc.) is acceptable.
2. There is to be NO personal communication outside of the forum postings unless your role PM specifically allows it. Mafia members may communicate at night and during the confirmation stage.
3. If you have a role with a Night action your choices are due to me by the posted deadline. If I do not receive your choice via PM by the posted deadline you will forfeit your actions. In case of multiple submissions, the last valid one before the deadline will be used.
4. Roles with Night actions will not be able to submit an action on Night 0 (i.e. during the confirmation stage). - The game has already started.
5. Any player with a Night action may instead submit a “No Action” PM to let the Mod know that you do not want to perform your expected action that Night phase.
6. As a general rule you should aim for one post every 48 hours, minimum, to keep the game moving.
7. You may ignore rule 1.

Voting, Deadlines, and Player Death:
1. A simple majority (rounded up) of all living members must agree on one person for a lynch to occur prior to deadline.
2. Once you have reached a simple majority no further unvoting will change someone’s fate. Further votes will also be ignored.
3. Once a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I post a death scene; all players including the one who was lynched may continue to post during twilight.
4. Please submit votes as: Vote: PlayerName. Votes will NOT be counted if they are not bold! Obvious abbreviations or nicknames will be counted so long as they are unambiguous.
5. Please submit vote revocations as either Unvote: PlayerName or Unvote. Unvotes are not necessary before changing votes.
6. You may Vote: No Lynch - a simple majority of these vote types are required to send the game to Night phase without a lynch.
7. This game will have OMITTED Day deadlines, with OMITTED night deadlines. If a player or No Lynch does not have a simple majority at Day end, no lynch will occur, and the game will go into night.
8. Once you are killed (either via lynch or night kill) you may no longer post. This means that you do not even get a “Bah” post. The dead in this game are silent.
9. Do not edit or delete posts. We don't want some players having more information than others.  If you want to clarify posts, feel free to double post.

Miscellaneous/Mechanics:
1. Bold, blue text is reserved for the Mod. No invisible/small text is allowed, nor is cryptography.
2. If you have an issue/problem with the game, please PM the Mod privately. Do not post issues/complaints in the game thread.
3. The Mod may make mistakes - please point out any mistakes gently. Mistakes will be corrected where possible, but sometimes mistakes are made that cannot be reversed. These will stand as final to be commiserated over after the game.
4. Please bold all requests to the Mod so that they don’t get missed.
5. Prods of missing players will be issued automatically after 72 hours of no activity or upon request after 48 hours of no activity. A prodded player has 48 hours to respond or risks replacement Modkill. A player who has been prodded 3 times is subject to replacement Modkill without further notice.
6. Rule violations will be dealt with according to their severity, up to and including a Modkill.
7. If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.

I hate giving you something - but clearly I need to cut down on the absolutely ridiculous action requests.  No-one has multiple roles, and no-one can target multiple people.  You may have no role.  You may not even be in the game.  If you do have a role - I will do my best to fill it on what you send me, but something like:

is signficantly more likely to be useful than:

Do you guys really think that there are two simultaneous games going on?  Wouldn't it be a much simpler solution if Days/Nights were just repeated with results for both occurring to the same people in the same game.  It would still serve CF's bastard purpose of confusing you guys, but would be much simpler on his end for bookkeeping.  IMO, this is being drastically over thought.

Ok, here's what I think is going on. There are two games running side by side, but I am not sure everybody is in all of them based on the lyncings counts



Nopw, looking at the voting patterns, we know Cayvie was in the Eevee group as she was the hammer (came between Frisk Posts, this is important, so if it isnt the case and he just hadnt added it up, everythign falls apart.) and obviously you are still alive somewhere because you are still getting night results. So that puts you in group B alive and a cop role. You had also has a no scum check on O confirmed, so he is in your group. And ehunt. This also fits in with you being a cop in group 2, because your N1 action wasnt a night 1 action, because you were dead in Group A's night action.

now this is the important bit, I asked you to investigate Cayvie, but you didnt, you investigated ehunt. Which screws my plan right up damn you! heh

We KNOW axxle was a cop, and he found out Jotonah was scum, so he must be in group A. Axxle also investigated Cayvie and got not scum.

Now, this is where it becomes more vague, if we all started day 1 together, and we're all in both groups, how come the lynches didnt happen?
I think this is because Group B launched the day AFTER group A.

Now this should be easy to test, as both groups are in Day 3. But we know some members are dead in group A. Assuming 9 - 13 players, we need a vote of 7 say to move things into the next day?

now we know Galriza, Grujah and Jonah are dead in group A, but presumably not dead in group B. And we know ehunt and O are DEFINATELY in with you (because you have investigative results).

So if you 5 vote for say, No Lynch and see what happens, then we gradually add more people to it to see.


But what I think is that Galzria is Cop in one, Axxle cop in the other. And that people who are scum in one are town in the other. Sounds plausible!

On 7/27, at 8:49 a.m., I received a prod to submit my night action (if I have one).  Game A was (and remains in) Day 3 at that point.  Whereas Game B was then in Night 2.

So I'm going to conduct an experiment.  Here's the first half.

However, I have been following the game (i.e. read pages until I find a post to troll), so I'll see if I can help.  Sorry if this all comes out as ramblings or stuff you already know/think you know.

Read the beginning convo regarding jo's lynch.  He gets ax(xl)ed pretty hard (Sorry, I had couldn't resist, I had to find some way to troll in this post too!).  Then Eevee buses him.  Then jo buses Eevee.  It makes no sense that they had any knowledge of each other being scum.  They were probably on different scum teams in different games with no knowledge of each other.  Each night only 1 person dies which suggests 1 scum team for each game.  You guys have not won yet and night kills have happened, so there are more scum left to kill.  I think I remember 1 night that someone didn't die.  I'd look back at that night and see if you can figure out what game it is and why no one died.  That could possibly lead you to the another scum member of that game or maybe CF is being bastardly and you actually killed off scum completely in that game.

These are the second game starts of day 2 and 3 in which no one dies.  Eevee was lynched on day 1.2 and there have been no night kills in that game since....

Either Eevee was the only scum in that game or his scum teammates are dropping the ball by targeting people who are either protected or in the other game.  If you are scum in game 2 and you are reading this, you are not doing very well.

You know that people are getting night killed in game 1.  Focus your investigative power on people you know are in this game.  I guess the cop would know this and if you are, don't answer.  But do you get game alignment and town alignment with an investigation?  If so, you are the most valuable person to piecing together the various bits and pieces of who's in what game and what role.  Townies, don't lynch your cop!

To summarize, game 1 is where the kills are happening.  For some unknown reason, kills are not happening in game 2.  Figure out who's doing them in game 1, I'm looking at you Mr. Cop, and eliminate them.

Disclaimer: I'm not in this game. Modconfirmed and all that. All of the below is my speculation. I don't know the format. You don't have to believe any of this, especially if you think that I'm just posting this to misdirect everyone playing enough that I will be the only victor of Bastard Mafia IV and WOOPS DID I SAY THAT OUT LOUD, DISREGARD ALL OF THAT. Have I told you that I'm most definitely not trying to do that?

There are two simultaneous games. No one is alive in both games. I am very sure of this, but I don't have a good reason for why this should be true. Galzria, who was lynched in the first game Day 1, was re-added to game 2. Maybe because getting day 1 lynched is really mean, so that person gets another chance. I don't know, I'm making stuff up here.

Anyone who posted in the thread was added to the game. So, the number of people playing can be counted by the number of people who posted before the second day start.

The second game started when cayvie posted, and cayvie was the 15th unique person to post in the forum. Counting that Galzria got two lives, that's 16 people to distribute to 2 games, or 8 people a game. Note that by the time Frisk posted the Day 1 lynch, there were 10 unique posters, and 6 votes for Galz, so this is consistent. This isn't exact, as Frisk has added people to the game after announcing the second day 1 start. #463 replaced timchen with Morgrim7 (Morgrim8?), and timchen posted long after the second game start. But that seems to be roughly accurate, given the second Galz lynch had 4 votes as a majority.

(Prepost edit: cayvie was a replacement for Young Nick, so this isn't quite accurate, but I really don't care.)

When people are lynched or killed, that it. They're dead. Galzria is the exception because of day 1 lynch kindness. Or, since Galzria claimed to have Cop powers, maybe it's part of his power role. So, Insomniac is forever out. Eevee is forever out. O is forever Grujah, jotheonah, Morgrim7? All dead, except Morgrim7 snuck back in as a replacement.

TL;DR: The two games are entirely disconnected, and is only to add confusion. Each game has ~5 people alive right now. Robz is still in the game, but has lost interest. Posting this was a terrible idea and is in direct violation of a mod rule. If you don't post for long enough, eventually Frisk will give details to keep the game moving, so everyone should stop posting and let me be the sole victor.

I think you guys just need to think of the bright side of this game.  In RMM1, BMMMM1, etc... there is just so much information and you actually feel like you can figure something out by analyzing everything.  At least with this one the feeling of hopelessness is so much that you don't feel the same kind of pressure (and because I know Robz likes emoticons....)

That being said, no one has died twice.  You've tried to lynch someone twice.  Therefore, you are only ever in one game.  You can't be in both games and you can't switch games.  Hasn't ftl (or someone else) said that for his night action pm he got a response that said that that person wasn't playing?  So you know that Ozle is cop b/c he took over for Axxle who correctly identified jo.  Why don't you guys just go for a no lynch vote and use Ozle's investigative power to figure out the game?  He can figure out alignment in his own game and if the person isn't in his game, he will get a message indicating that they are in the other game.

Guys...  I'm actually playing, and I might be Eevee's scumbuddy (read the rest of the post).

After my first post, CF sent me that PM.  To which I responded:

lol... I'm actually not planning on playing.  You allowed the option of non participants to troll so that looked like fun to me 

I decided to be funny and keeping trolling the thread whenever possible and then I got the prod PM.

Come on guys, you had a 1/2 day start on those other guys, and they still beat you to the finish line.

I'll be in and out tomorrow - but by Tuesday morning US standard time - anyone who hasn't voted in thread will be modkilled.  This message is going to all living players, although I have granted dead players who haven't seen the game setup the ability to continue to troll you.

At this point, I was confused.  I thought that I wasn't playing, but CF obviously has me on the list.  I didn't know if I should come out and say, "Hey guys, I'm actually alive  ", so I just stayed quiet about me getting that PM.  I decided to be safe and continue trolling with a lekkit vote rather than a serious vote.  I figured, if people don't know I'm alive, then I can't be killed or lynched.

Here's the kicker, I haven't been PM'ing CF any night actions.  I think I might be Eevee's scumbuddy in game 2.  It would explain why no one has been dying on those nights.  Sorry for keeping all this all on the downlow, but once I realized that I was alive, I was afraid that I would be lynched right away if I said I was alive.  At this point however, with so few people left, I think it's better for the town to know I am alive and for me to start not trolling (as much) and play protown mafia.

Ughh... I guess I should have killed one of you that last night as you were both confirmed town, but I was nervous that keeping Cop ozle alive would mean me getting investigated.  Perhaps I could have finagled an argument that Ozle is a scum rolecop and that's how he knew you were townie.

I wasn't confirmed yet.  Ozle was the right kill.  cayvie was an alternative as she was the only truly confirmed townie.  I wasn't confirmed.  If Ozle were still alive I might have been convinced that he was scum.  You could have pretended to be casual observer, "it's so obvious that Ozle is scum."  But Ozle did catch out other scum?  I still don't remember that clearly.

I would still probably have devolved into the same "let's vote for everyone" procedure though.  I would not have voted Ozle unless we figured out who the third player was, but even then if you revealed yourself, you would have been way more suspicious for the non-player disguise you wore.

Yeah, you were next, but i decided to go for the active players first.
Plus I wasn't going to be bothered to read through hundreds of pages to find out if you were modconfirmed not in or not. Thats why you had a question mark next to your name.

I helped kill the first two scum in the game, so was pretty sure my town credentials would have stood up to any other player.
