There is probably some infinite loops with that.

Sea Cave is busted. Discarding a Copper to pay an action is an amazing effect, and the opportunity cost here is less then 2$ (i.e., if the card made +2$ more instead of the discarding, it would be fantastic).

Dragon Pit - Project - 6$

At the start of your first Buy phase each turn, you may trash an Action card you have in play. If you do, +2 Actions and return to your Action phase.

Weak in general due to the cost, but lots of edge cases where it's worth it.

Perhaps cleaner rewording: At the start of your first Buy phase each turn, you may trash an Action card you have in play. If you do, +2 Actions and return to your Action phase.

Thanks! That's clearly better.

<Maid>

I suggest making the gaining optional.  There will be times when you really want 3 or 4 Actions from this (or just 2 and there's no good $2 cost on the board). Getting +4 Actions from a $4 card is not overpowered, and imo it would just be annoying if you had to junk yourself in order to get more than +1 Action from the card.

Good point. I also think that without optional gaining, this is on average weaker than Ironworks.

Good points on Maid but I'm personally much more irritated by the grammar error than the mechanical issues (it costs)

I read "it cost" as grammatically correct past tense, referring to the price the card had when it was gained, not the price it currently has (this accounts for edge cases like Destrier, which becomes $1 cheaper immediately after being gained).

Yeah, Groom, Ironworks, etc use the present tense for the gained card so that's what Maid should use, fixing that. I agree that the gaining being optional would make sense, but in that case it doesn't really qualify for this contest, so I'll be considering another tweak.

Amazing design. Interestingly it wouldn't necessarily be stronger if it cost $3 - as using a Marina on itself would only give you 1 Action in that instance. Kind of like the card Improve.

Idk; it's like a +2$, +2 Actions variant for the most part, except you don't get the Actions up front. It's similar to Conclave but significantly weaker because the not-up-front thing is a big deal.

One copy of Marina can work across turns, so it also functions as a one time +Actions at the start of your next turn, which compensates for the not-up-front part. With that you can get some variant on Festival/Smithy going.

Quote
Pastoral Village | Action | $4
+1 Card
+4 Actions

When you play an Action card you have a copy of in play, you first spend an extra Action.

Rules Clarification: you cannot spend actions you don't have (ie go below zero), and spending an extra Action occurs "when you play ... you first" so it counts after you play the card, but before the card effects occurs, making this a little stronger. Think of it like Adventure Tokens.

For example, let's say you play a
Peddler (1 action after finish resolving)
Pastoral Village ( 4 actions after finish resolving)
Smithy (3 actions ...)
Smithy (1 action ...)
Peddler (you spend 1 action to play the card, going to 0, then Pastoral Village instructs you to spend an Additional action, which you fail to do so because you have 0, then Peddler grants you an Action so you have 1 action remaining after finish resolving)

Pastoral Villages stack so here's a one example:
Pastoral Village (4 actions after finish resolving)
Pastoral Village (6 actions after...)
Smithy (5 actions ...)
Smithy (2 actions ...)
Smithy (0 actions ...)

and one last example:
Pastoral Village (4 actions remaining)
Pastoral Village (6 actions remaining)
Pastoral Village (7 actions remaining)
Pastoral Village (7 actions remaining)
Smithy (6 actions remaining)
Smithy (1 action remaining)
Smithy (0 actions remaining)

In comparisons with Snowy Village and normal Village, it felt like it needed to cost $4.

Oh good point I missed that aspect. I take it back, card is pretty cool

A card that can supply you with many villages for free! or is it?

I know the name is very close to coven but still want to keep the name as it is. ive tested this card and its balanced and gave some interesting games, even kingdoms without trashing.

Construct
Action 5$

Reveal the top 3 cards from your deck. Play any action cards among them in any order and add the rest to your hand. Then look through your discard pile. You may put a card from it onto your deck.
This is obviously too good. At worst it is Smithy+Harbinger. It does not take a lot (Action density of 1/3) for this to be a DoubleLab+Harbinger which is totally crazy.

So the first copy is a Necro and each following one is a TR variant (stronger to the Action and the backwards aspect, weaker as you have a very limited choice of cards, usually only one).
Looks significantly weaker than TR to me.

Thanks. I've added a coin. - tried adding a card but it was too strong

+1 Action
+ $1

Choose one: You may play an Action card from your hand; or replay a card played by a Slaver this turn.
