Alright, postmortem:
The first connection that jumped out to me was Jack (& the Beanstalk), and Giant. That got me thinking of Fairy Tales or Fantasy. I recalled that Snow White baked Pies with the Seven Dwarves, and that pulled me towards Disney, whom I'm sure have covered Jack and The Beanstalk. Disney brought me to the Silver Screen, at which point I knew I had to run with that clue.
Actors roles in movies are often considered "Parts", and Movies themselves can come in "Parts", so I thought that was a good fit as well. The last connection I made was Train - I was thinking Polar Express, which isn't Disney, but I thought might get brought up under a clue for Disney.
That left Pin and Head as my last two words - I didn't see any connection to Disney or Films for those, so had to clue them separately. Needle seemed like a good choice to tie them together... I definitely overlooked Disease as a connection - it just (somehow) wasn't on my mind. Given Needle as a clue, I figured I would add Silver into the count as well - no reason not to.
I decided to start with Needle: 3 instead of Disney: 7 because there were a decent number of OTHER tie ins that could be made for Disney. In my head, the obvious list for Disney went:
Jack (& the Beanstalk), (James & the) Giant (Peach), (Movie) Part, Pie, Silver, Screen, (Movie) Pitch, Wall(-E), Ship (Pirates of the Caribbean), Litter (101 Dalmatians), Train (Polar Express), Whale (Moby Dick).
I didn't consider Slip(per), or Chick (Chicken Little). Either way - at the time, while I didn't think Litter would come anywhere near the top of your list, I figured there were enough blue/neutral words in there that I wanted the other team to have a turn first - so I thought opening with Needle was better than opening with Disney.
Scola was pretty much reading my mind most of the time. He pushed hard against Litter (and even read it as possible assassin) early on - but it came WAY to close to being guessed the first time around that I HAD to clue you off it. Had you guessed Jack in the first round of Disney and left me with just Part & Pie, I would've run a 2 clue (Slice: 2, or something) for them - but based on your conversations, I couldn't bank on doing that, and then you guessing Jack over Litter as the final word.
I knew that Pie was higher up in my mind than it might be in yours - but I was hoping that on a 3rd round I would be able to clue back to it. Litter coming so high up on your list really threw off my gameplan. Ah well - It's not often you get a chance to run a 7 clue, and I felt pretty good about it all the way around! Unique game! Two 0's and a 7!
