I was townreading him last night. The claim seems at least a reasonable reason to keep him around. He seems like he's probably got more utility to town than I have (depending on x), so I'm not even sure a self-preservation vote is correct for me.

(this is a fundamental property of ash I think, his emotions and views take priority over ingame reasons, so lots of things are auto null since they aren't dictated by alignment)
