That's different. RSP usually doesn't require thought because I'm only reading off conclusions I already have. Posting there is part of mental relaxation in between pieces of work. Posting in mafia is the opposite, that requires active thought and is exhausting (at least if the post is substantive).
Treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate – don’t leave us hanging.
My very first game I made it my personal mission to lynch archetype due to his inactivity. I made several of the same points in that game. He ended up being town.
After that I learned to be more lenient against lurkers. It still hurts town, but it doesn't mean that person is scum.
Basically, arguments condemning lurkers for the sake of their lurking are detrimental to the game in my opinion. I like to encourage activity rather than condemning for inactivity. Life happens sometimes. Mafia is not always a priority
I'm clearly not pushing to lynch Silver right now -- I have my sights firmly set on Chairs, with you as my preferred backup.
I'm more disappointed if Silver's town, really, because I need allies, and I value the way his rational mind works. I just need the rest of town to find itself some motivation and come in here and play, and "commitment" is a good word. Even if Silver is scum, which
is still a possibility, I think the game would have been improved for all the rest of the players if he'd been more active in it.
