So we could try moon now. My best guess for the pontiac clue is Triangle, since the logo looks a bit triangular if you squint at it.

That said, there's also a psychiatric hospital that used to be known as Pontiac State, apparently.. so that's another option. No idea whether that's something a typical USian will expect others to have heard of.. I found it by searching Wikipedia for Pontiac in combination with each of the other grid words.
