How is a day 1 lynchee an MVP?

he had a huge fight with me, and I called him out for tunneling me needlessly and made a "Joseph hates silverspawn" compillation.

Then, when he and faust were dead (my scum buddies), I won the game basically by lurking a lot because I had exams, and ash and the rest concluded that I couldn't be scum because Joseph had this huge fight with me. He was a traitor and I didn't know he was my partner but he knew that I was his partner, because Traitor knew mafia in that setup.

Awaclus said in that game that if I turn out scum he'll err never trust me again or something, and he's voted for me in his first post of each game ever since.
I lasted til Day 2 actually?
And I somehow managed to talk people out of killing me D1, and killing the town bodyguard.

Is it more bad or less bad than silverspawn's vote?

Also, if I know it's a bad vote, then why would I place it as scum?

You should know it's a bad vote, then.

And silverspawn's vote is bad too but you made yours first.

I don't get what you're trying to say with that first sentence.

And does that mean that the second vote is better than the first? I always thought it was the other way around. Maybe I've been gone for too long.

What even makes a vote good or bad? Is it whether it's on scum or not? That's the easy answer, but also the wrong one.

I'm assuming that by voting for RR, you're implying that his post about not finding anyone scummy was scummy. And I'm saying that that's not true, and that by making that vote you're making a case that I know you're too smart to actually think is true, so I'm saying it's more probable that you're scum trying to find a reason to vote for someone.

But in the end, my vote wasn't bad at all because it got us from RVS to you actually voicing a read and give people something to work with.

Why do you think RR's post wasn't scummy? Do you think it was towny? If yes, why? If no, then why should I not have voted for him if I don't have a scumread on anyone else?

Scum feels pressure to have strong reads, lest they attract suspicion. Casually admitting that you don't have reads is therefore towny.

Scum also feels pressure to not draw attention to themselves. Mindless votes without any reason are just as common as forced votes without any reason. And if Faust's cote was scummy, what separates his vote from any RVS vote so far?

Vote: RR, for turning our QT into an argument about British & American English.

Also, colour is the better way to spell it.

Color is clearly the better way to spell it, and it is also faster to type. I don't know why voting against your own lover has been a thing today, but it's not helping anyone.

I might tentatively agree if it wasn't in RVS. My vote was not on RR because he "admitted to not having reads", but for stating the obvious. It's empty posting, and empty posting is not great.
