Does everyone else feel the love in the air?  <3
Or maybe it's the haze of mistrust and paranoia, I always get them confused.

Also we can only have an even number of votes for someone, so we really need 8 for a lynch I believe.

Copied from the OP:

"-- If there is no majority at deadline, the person with the most votes is lynched.  If there is a tie, the person who got that many votes first is lynched."

We don't necessarily need to hit the traditional majority to make lynches this game.

Also, I'm going to random vote regardless. My partner is welcome to join me in voting if he so wishes  :P

This game is going to get very meta, by the way. Scum won't want to be together, since if they die, the scumpartner might die as well.

I think lots of talking about this sort of thing on D1 is not good for town

Actually delaying information until the correct time to reveal it is always the best play, and we often do not observe that on this forum.

In this case, talking a lot about how scum should act just gives scum a better idea of how they should act and allows them to know what we anticipate them doing before they do it.

So I am not in favor of talking about what we think scum is likely to do. I am open to possibly discussing other things.

Okay, so WIFOM options then.

Scum also reads the set-up, as they have to look more proactive as town.

PPE: 1

Okay, what do we talk about then?

I was simply expressing that I don't think we should continue a discussion in the direction that you started. It could develop into us effectively telling scum what they should do and/or what we expect them to do.

The guy know his stuff.

For example, I don't think lovers should be revealed unless they would otherwise be lynched. So like, 1 day before deadline (I don't think there will be a majority lynch).

Another thing to possibly discuss would be whether or not we should observe some kind of proxy voting system. We have to vote together, but if people disagree they could put proxy votes on different people and we could tally the votes.

OTOH, the only time we observed a system like this is when silverscum used it to lead the town to destruction in Trees mafia, and made sure to get a bad no-lynch through that way.

So I'm conflicted.

Yes, there are a lot of interesting interactions, which I won't mention now because someone will get pissed or something. EFHW has made a fantastic game.

Okay, what do we talk about then?

In the pregame I considered the applications of accountability for partner requests - e.g. claiming all requests at the start of the following day, or simply when run up to L-2 or whatever. It seems likely that the scum would have interest in manipulating the partnerships, and having an after-the-fact request claim doesn't seem like it'd hurt.

I think we just vote. Hopefully EFHW will display the votes in vote counts even if they're not on the same person, and we only really have to get majorities once the deadline approaches.

Speed Dating Mafia
you must vote together.

Does this mean that both players need to be voting for the same person for their votes to count, or that whenever either player votes, it changes the vote for both of the players?

A proxy voting systems seems a good idea to me. How exactly was it used to nefarious purposes in Trees Mafia? I can't see any obvious drawback aside from the guy tallying the votes making intentional errors.
Additionally, it's very hard to no-lynch in this game.

EWP: If what faust said is the case and the mod tallies noncounting votes for us, that would make things a lot easier.
