He wasn't towny. That's a red flag for Hydrad. Also other people were towny, and it was PoE.

I don't think "Hey look I'm being townie because I can point to this one thing that is totally indicative of me as town because I say it's town and there's of course no way I could ever be lying about this especially considering since I'm the sole person that gets to make this arbitrary decision whether it's a town or scum trait" is very convincing of an argument.
