Ok I'm actually considering making a BM game where there are no QTs or PMs, but everyone has a pair of cryptographic keys, with public keys posted in the thread and private keys PMed to each player.

I found a site where you can paste your private key and a message and it will encrypt and decrypt messages easily (you just click a button).

The game would also be nightless, with PRs that need to give their targets in the main thread, and a mafia that needs to do all communication in the main thread.

Would anyone be interested?

Interesting but unwieldy. Now, if the forum had the encryption feature integrated so that once decrypted the thread contents would be plain text for that user, that would be pretty fun.

Is the BP permanent?  That is, target keeps a BP shot until used up?  Or is the BP for the night only?

If the former, yeah, probably equal to 4/5ths of a Doctor.  If the latter, equal to a 1-shot Doctor.

I think that's what I said.  The latter is just 1-Shot Doctor.  The former is better, in that's it's a 1-Shot Doctor that is guaranteed to work once, eventually, if your target is ever shot.

I think it gets a slight knock versus traditional doctor because if your target is lynched or scum, it was equal to named VT, while a traditional doctor can switch targets later.

True.  I think the role is worthy of a letter, is what it boils down to.  Plus, you can alternate 1-shot/full with more letters, etc.

M13 was a hydras game. I didn't play it, but I don't recall people loving the format. I think it leads to lots of lurking from everyone because it's enough of a hassle just to log into an alt account to post.

This is about the only modification you could propose that would make me not sign up. Yeah we did hydras way back when, it was terrible.

hm. that's kind of super not a problem at MS, which i think is because it's more common and non-compulsory (the latest award for best scum performance was won by a hydra)

that said there are better and more strict rules about how to do a hydra: limit 1 per game, both members of the hydra are known publicly, both have to sign whichever one of them makes each post, both members have to meet activity requirements (else the hydra slot gets replaced by whichever head is fulfilling the requirements)
