Joseph's been pulling just about every stereotypical scum move this day...I didn't agree with the initial argument, but he's performed just about every scum tell. OMGUS on people voting him, town read on people defending him, more concerned about his defense than about any reads on any other player, playing very very very reactively...

I'd like to think he'd not be playing stereotypically scummy after just playing scum (and getting lynched) twice in a row.  I'd be willing to lynch him, though.

Well, I won't be there for the deadline, so... I guess vote: Joseph to leave my vote somewhere where it matters.

Doesn't mean you have to lynch him though, if you get a majority for someone else.

Yeah. Everyone was like, totally going to sheep your choice of lynch no matter what.

You made the right choice though. I will definitely not be around for the deadline; I'm going to sleep in approx. 3 hours, but will be around until then.

Welp. My whole reasoning against lynching Joseph was that I thought him a PR based on previous posts.

I need to reread now.

I will be around at deadline, and can lynch Joseph if necessary, so no need for hasty moves.

Day 1 ends at 12:00 a.m. on February 12, 2015. That's in ~ 13 hours.

Also, I'm terribly confused. This quote is from ~5 pm forum time (11 pm in France). If it were ~13 hours from then to the deadline, that would mean Teproc is doing the deadline based on UTC+1, not forum time.

Teproc: Can you clarify when the exact deadline is in forum time and UTC?

I can be around for both FWIW, but if it's going to be noon here, I doubt we get another wagon started.

I dunno if i'm going to be around for deadline which is disappointing. I'll see if I can wake up early or something though as its not something I want to miss.

As for what to do with my vote I feel like it doesn't even matter at this point. Joseph has claimed and he is at L-1 still with no other wagon really going.

I'll go Vote: Awaclus and sheep WW. I don't really think hes scummy but I kinda just wanna do someone other then Joseph still and IG isn't going through.

Anyways I'm going to bed. I'll try to wake up a bit early to see if I can still give input before a lynch goes through.

For anyone else, such a statement would be a scum tell.  For Hydrad, it's simply a tell that you're reading something from Hydrad.

So, my current thoughts:

1. Hydrad- not many posts, and not getting a read off these posts. Null read.
2. Egork- Innocent Child
3. Ichimaru Gin- seems convinced I'm scum, but the way in which he's arguing seems sensible (even though the conclusion is incorrect). Null read
4. A Drowned Kernel- seems pretty intent on lynching me, but apart from that his posts seem okay. Argument about quicklynch/slowlynch with WW seemed towny to me. Overall slight town read.
5. Joseph2302- me
6. XerxesPraelor- confused about his interactions with me (does he think I'm scum or not?) But agree with post #312, I think the evidence was weak, and wasn't worth lynching me on. Overall, null read.
7. Awaclus- short posts, threw random accusation at XP and I (reply#271). Slightly scummy feel.
8. Silverspawn- short posts, encouraged the continuation of my scum-claim. Slightly scummy feel.
9. faust- not so many posts, but recent interactions have a towny feel, so slight town read.
10. Witherweaver- his interactions seem quite towny to me, especially the argument about lynch timings with ADK
11. Seprix- town for me, with hindsight his actions around me and L1/hammering look more confused/newbie/mistaken town than scum.
12. Twistedarcher- was looking at options when everyone else was focused on me, I think that this is townie (I would think this even if the focus was on another player, not me)
13. chairs- almost no posts

Basically at this point, I wouldn't want to lynch Seprix, ADK, WW, TA, faust.

So, people have accused Joseph of finding people that attack him scummy while giving town points to those defending him. I really don't see that from this. Town reads are among others ADK and Seprix, both of which are intent to lynch him.

To see through this: A rough timeline of the Joseph case.

Joseph jokes about being scum.
Lots of people vote for Joseph.
Joseph doesn't have any real scum reads, votes somewhere to get another wagon started.
People think that's scummy.
People back off of Joseph after he said he wouldn't claim.
silverspawn and Xerxes get suspected.
Some people talk about how Joseph isn't viable anymore.
People accuse Joseph of having "convenient" reads.
The Joseph wagon picks up steam again.
Joseph tries for a lurker lynch.
L-1.

Oh, and Joseph claims VT of course. Does that make any sense? Only if you think that people would make the argument that scum wouldn't claim VT here... but I think the danger is far too big for Joseph to be lynched anyway, since town now isn't afraid of losing a PR (something that's kept me from Joseph so far).

C'mon Hydrad. vote: Joseph.

You know it's the right thing to do.

PPE: faust. I think scum would claim VT--because it gives him an excuse for staying alive if he doesn't get lynched today. Also, for WIFOM. If Joseph claiming VT makes people think he isn't scum, it's a good idea on scum's part. I don't think I would have believed him if he claimed a PR...yeah, I don't think Joseph can really win with me at this point. I backed off the wagon to see if he played much differently without as much pressure, but his play has screamed scum to me for pretty much the entire day.

So, I'm not loving this. I'm also not loving how people used the Joseph case to abstain from producing any content other than "Joseph is scum!" today. (I'm looking at you, ADK/Awaclus)

I will try for an alternate wagon. Realistically, I don't think any wagon against players off the Joseph wagon will go through (because that would require people to leave the Joseph wagon). So my lynch pool reduces to:

chairs, Awaclus, Ichi, Seprix, silver, ADK

chairs:
His only content today is "Joseph is scummy". Literally. I get that he's busy IRL, but this is going to make things really difficult on upcoming days.

Awaclus:
Okay, so also lots of stuff thrown at Joseph, plus some talk about how he doesn't like explaining himself (actually looks rather genuine). Overall, though I think he shouldn't have tunneled as much as he did, I don't get a particular scum vibe from his posts.

Ichi:
Really has quite some content, and he reacted towny when under suspicion I think. Has worked to drive this game forward. Not someone I want to see lynched (oddly enough).

Seprix:
Has a bit of a back and forth on Joseph that actaully feels rather genuine to me (maybe because I've gone through a similar process). Not my top choice.

silver:
The major thing against him his wagon timing. A wagon on him starts, then suddenly Joseph is a lynch candidate again, and nobody's talk about him anymore. Also his interaction with WW doesn't read very genuine to me.

ADK:
He really looks like trying to be reasonable about things. Tunneling Joseph, but at the same time appearing to consider other options. I don't like this:

silver I'm pretty sure is town, what's the case on XP again, faust?
For real though, let's lynch chairs.

Hm.. why is Silver town again?

I have a towny feeling on him. Not super strong, he's-an-IC town read. But I'd rather not lynch him today when there are much better options.
because it kind of contradicts.

So after this, my favorite lynch cnadidates are silver and ADK I think. ADK probably a bit more than silver. Vote: ADK

I think scum, in general, might claim VT. But it doesn't seem like a good idea for Joseph. Plus, as this game is apparently about referring to Futuramafia all the time, he claimed PR there, even when he knew it wasn't safe.
