What's better than Kel'Thuzad on the board when clearing your opponent's with a Dr. Boom and a Boom Bot?  Using a Faceless on KT before hitting end turn.

I just got a Finicky Cloakfield off my opponent's Mechanical Yeti with Archmage Antonidas in hand, with 10 mana, in arena. She conceded.

I have two big minions with 1hp each, I am very close to lethal on him. He has no minions. I have a lot of health. He plays madder bomber and it hits nothing but our faces.

Vs popsofctown, I got one of the more ridiculous turn 2s I've had. With Mana Wyrm vs nothing (he tapped turn 2), I played Coin, 2x Mechwarper, Annoy-o-tron, and Snowchugger. So essentially he's looking at 5 2-drops (4 2/3s and an annoy-o-tron) on board after 2 turns. Mechwarper OP.

I've just had 4 Tanks in play.   ;D (Arena)
Played one Turn 8.
Followed by Copy-Guy + Echo of Medivh. Than played them on next two turns.

For extra giggles, I recocombulated one into.. Kel Thuzard. One undying tank army coming up!

I just played an Unstable Portal and found an Edwin Van Cleef on turn 3 (I played one more card and got him as a 6/6 for 0 mana). Later that same game I played my second portal and found Malygos. When I hit 10 mana the next turn I played Malygos->Fireball for an immediate win.

for 0 mana

Actually 2.

I thought about that in my phrasing, but he was 0 (the portal was 2). I wanted to emphasize the combo by pointing out the extra spell that had been cast in the Unstable Portal.

You can even do Coin > Unstable Portal > Edwin Van Cleef on turn 1 for a 6/6. Here's a guy on Reddit that did it in arena: http://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/2p6yqy/my_first_experience_with_unstable_portal/

My bone stock priest deck just beat a control warrior who played a ridiculous number of legendaries to my zero legendaries. He played sylvanas, dr boom, tbk, loatheb, Gromash, alexstraza... That I can recall. He lost to fatigue.

If only the people who yell at me for having legendaries at low rank could see a video of this game. Legends don't mean you win games, but playing poorly means you lose games.

The very next game with the same priest deck (which I only run for dailies) I was up against a mage and it went some thing like this.

Him T1: Wyrm
Me: T1: Cleric, coin, PW: Shield

Him T2: Freezing Blast to face, Buffed Wyrm to face
Me T2: PW: Shield on Cleric, Swing for 1dmg to his face

Him T3: Drops minions, smashes my face some more
Me: T3: Really figuring my hand has gone awry here I Double my Cleric's health and swing for 1 dmg to his face so he has 28 health, maybe you see where this is going?

Him T4: Crushes my face down to 2 health remaining, Cleric left untouched.
Me T4: Double Cleric Once more and then Inner Fire to swing for 28 damage and the Win.

I just won thanks to the Mad Bomber I had bribed in my opponents deck. The board was
Him (15 health): Sunwalker (full health/taunt), Sunwalker (silenced), Boulderfist
Me (22 health): Houndmaster, Spellbreaker, Scavenging Hyena (4/3)

I think I'm pretty screwed here. It's his turn he hits me for 14 damage and play the only card in his hand, he's got lethal easily next turn at this point. Mad Bomber comes out and hits his fresh Sunwalker twice and him once. This lets me kill his sunwalker with a single minion and kill him with my topdecked Reckless Rocketeer. I laughed so hard when he played that Bomber.

Playing Druid, having 8 mana after Opponent (23hp) plays Sylvanas, he has nothing else on board
My hand is Force of Nature, Keepr of the Grove, Sneed's Old Shredder, Innervate, board is 2/2 silenced Shade, 3/3 Shade growing to 4/4, Piloted Shredder. I draw Savage Roar.
I silence his Sylvanas and kill it with Shredder + Hero power. My Shredder drops a Wild Pyromancer. Now I notice that i had lethal with Innervate->Force of Nature/Savage Roar, but he can't really do anything on his turn.
So on my next turn i play Force of Nature, and just as I'm releasing my finger on Savage Roar, i see some crazy explosions going on the creen. I realize Force/Roar doesn't work very well if you have a Wild Pyro. Luckily, my opponent doesn't realize this and concedes before my Treants die.

Opp: Pass
Me: Argent Squire
Opp: Annoy-o-Tron
Me: Coin, Blood Knight

---

Next game, I played against a Rogue that I chipped down to 2 health, but I didn't draw my direct damage and my opponent had answers every turn thanks to a Sprint and a Cult Master I couldn't kill. Then, the 2nd Cult Master comes out...but we both realize it's a mistake - he needs to trade his board to kill mine this turn, but he's drawn so many cards that he's going to go to fatigue. Even when he trades a Cult Master first, he still ends at 2 cards left in his deck.

I kill a taunt to trigger once, get a 50/50 on Bomb Lobber to trigger again, and force the Rogue to either have 24 damage from hand or lose to fatigue, giving me the win when I'm behind by 13 cards :P. Of course, card advantage doesn't matter if you die before you can use it.

I have Piloted Shredder and a 3/2 silenced Sludge Belcher. Opponent kills Shredder, which drops Mana Addict. He then weapons down the Belcher, going down to 18 hp.
I play Wild Growth, Excess Mana, 2x Savage Roar and Hero Power. Exact lethal :P

Which was an Acolyte of Pain standing between a Direwolf Alpha and a Taunter that let him draw 3 cards and move the buff to the Taunter. Perfect Bomber.

My opponent sees a Druid who foolishly used his second Keeper of the Grove and delightedly drops Antonidas. Little does he know, I'm holding Faceless, 2x Innervate, and Roar. Thanks for the Fireballs!

I got a Cho out of a Shredder, and my opponent's only card was an Unstable Portal, so we went back and forth getting random minions, which was a lot of fun (kind of like arena), until he got a Deathwing... Fortunately, I had a Mind Control, and my final Unstable Portal (now that Cho was dead) drew Windspeaker!

In an arena match, while nearing death, my opponent played a secret.  So I played zombie chow into mirror entity, killed his new zombie chow, and got the health I needed (with some opponent misplays I think-not that I'm good enough to really tell).  Managed to win.  It was half my wins in my 2-3 arena!

Wuh?

Reminds me, why does Blessed Champion cost so much? Like, Blessing of Might is 1 mana and gives +3 attack. Blessed Champion would need to give +12-15 attack to be comparable.

Hm, fair enough. Also, it can make for really crazy sudden finishes if it costed less I guess. It's not a design that's easy yo balance.

Which begs the question: why did they keep it in the game? Even in arena, I think I see it less often than Kidnapper  and Foresight.

No way. Those cards are up a rarity and way worse. I have definitely picked blessed champion way more than the other 2. It's definitely arena playable.

No, although that's not a terrible idea. My guess is that it'd be too hard to keep on the board long enough to pump up.

Same reason as why they've kept Magma Rager in game - you need to have bad cards.

Also, cards like Blessed Champion and Magma Rager are cards that could conceivably become good in the future. They've got unusual stats and effects which aren't usable with the current card pool, but could be good if cards which play to their strengths are released.

Just played a (relatively) fun game Control Priest vs Fatigue Mage. Since I had Cabaled one of his Deathlords and he didn't Duplicate or Echo the other one, I was only into fatigue 1 card faster. My very last card was a Thoughtsteal, which I used to copy his last card -- an Echo! I was able to play it to copy a Cultist, Blademaster, and Alexstrazsa (he couldn't BGH it until the next turn since he had just drawn the BGH off his Coldlight last turn)! Even though he was able to Echo a BGH, Healbot, and Illuminator with Ice Block up and full health, since I knew he had no burn left, I was able to let my life get low, Alex up to 15 to buy 2 more turns, and hit him in the face for enough damage that his fatigue killed him through Ice Block!

Despite the 20 minutes of utter boredom leading up to that end game, I came away with quite a positive feeling after the match.

I'm playing arena against a Shaman.

I'm minding my own business, dropping Frothing Berzerker against an empty board on turn 3, and then 2x Dust Devil, Frost Shock on Berzerker. The hell?

I did win that game, but it was very close. If I had lost that game, I would have been so mad.

You won a game as warrior in arena. That's  a best moment in itself.

^Boo. I like Warrior. It's one of my better classes. It's risky because if you get no weapons you don't have much since you lack a meaningful hero power, but if you get a few weapons it's not hard to at least get 7+ wins. The general class card quality is pretty high.

Now if it was Warlock...

I went 4-3 with Warlock the other day and felt pretty good about it. Warlock is hard. Warrior is just weapon dependent, pretty average arena class imo. They've got a weak hero ability, but generally good class cards. (Warlocks have pretty bad class minions when compared to most other classes and rely too much on getting good neutral minions.)

Won on turn 5 in arena.

Worgen Infiltrator + Coin + Zombie Chow turn 1. Weapon up turn 2. Deadly Poison + Bloodsail Corsair turn 3. Dread Corsair + BGH turn 4. Bluegill Warrior turn 5 for exact lethal.

Neptulon gave me three Murk Eyes.

Warrior opponent eventually resigned, friended me just to complain, then unfriended.

I don't know why so many people do this. If you're not going to wait for a response, what's the point? If you don't want a response, why can't you just complain to yourself?

I'd have happily commiserated over unfair seeming rng.  He made some sarcastic comment about the game being balanced around skill and disappeared.

If these people think it's so luck based and that's why they hate the game, why don't they go play another game? I'll never understand.

I think MtG is less luck based than Hearthstone but I can't afford MtG :(

Did you sabotage it?  I imagine you wouldn't immediately take the 50/50 in hopes that he plays Shadow word: pain+ turn 5 or some such and gives you a 100% sabotage.  13 in the face is nothing against priest

I just beat a Mill Rogue... by milling him. I was playing an experimental Druid deck that can both fatigue people or win on board presence. He didn't seem to suspect anything when I played a couple Death Knights or when he burned my Malorne, and by the time I played my first Naturalize it was too late. He only had 8 cards left and we were even, but he had way less life. (I think he had a Gang Up in his hand or it probably would have been a lot closer). Out milling a miller is pretty fun.

Opponent plays Bane of Doom on my Yeti, summoning Mal'ganis, which makes him very likely to win.
He then trades into my Shredder, giving me a Doomsayer, with 6 damage remaining on his board :P

Haha, nice. I kinda feel for him, though; it's tricky sometimes you have two possible sources of RNG and have to choose which one to check first. Playing the Bane of Doom first could have actually been the right choice, if for example getting Doomguard would've given him lethal. And getting Doomsayer from Shredder is less likely than getting Doomguard from Bane of Doom. Doom.

I mean, he probably wasn't thinking through all that, but I always try to imagine that my opponents are secretly geniuses when they make weird plays.

So, I play Oil Rogue. I end my turn with 2x Shredders and one SI:7, my opponent at ~10.

He plays Sorcerer's Apprentice, than gets rid of almost everything - I am left with only a Ship's Cannon spawned from Shredder - and than he plays Mirror Image.

I only have Oil in hand.
And a peel from the top my singleton Southsea Deckhand. I play it, and to my surprise (cuz I totally forgot), Ship's Cannon kills one of the Images :D
I oil, kill other image and finish him off  ;D

It can, yeah. The double Gang Up Mill Rogue people tried out after Gang Up was released turns out to have some room for card draw, because Gang Up adds an extra 6 cards to your deck.

I think the Gang Up target varies, but I believe the main choice is between Healbot and Coldlight, depending on whether you need more health, need to draw more answers, or need to push their fatigue damage faster.

It's good in Mill Rogue, but Mill Rogue isn't that good. So Vanish is still bad. Also they use Prep+Vanish to make it good.

But then they can't Prep+Sprint, which is what I see all the time.

Vanish is only "good" situationally.  Like, hand's full and board's full -- sure Vanish was great that time.  But against a player who plays single or few big minions and lots of mana, it's not doing much.

Mill Rogue's don't run Sprint though because they want to stay behind their opponent on cards so they can more easily fatigue them without fatiguing themselves, for card draw they usually rely on Coldlight Oracles and maybe 2 cards that let you net 1 card for reliably drawing key cards (Thalnos or Azure Drake are not uncommon).

Vanish is usually used for board clear when the opponent's hand is full or nearly full and is the most expensive spell Mill Rogues run.

I really like the idea behind the card (Majordomo), but it's a weird card in that it's not good enough to save you, and it's actually terrible to play when you're ahead. It's also not cheap enough to give to your opponent reliably as a counter to Sylvanas. I hope there's some more interesting cards made like Majordomo with the numbers tweaked a bit more so they're actually playable.

Yep.

As for "why would you ever take Majordomo?", well... this just happened: http://imgur.com/6Nr8er6

Edit: Holy christ this card is garbage

That is the saddest legendary pick I've ever seen. You're even Warrior so Blingtron is extra bad.

I thought my opponent disconnected, because he just roped his turn 6 and almost his entire turn 7. But then this happened.

I assume you still won? Your hand looks pretty strong and you can remove that Bomber for free with a Stormwind play.

Taking a deck that you believed in from 0-2 to 6-2 feels pretty good.

Also that sweet feeling of assured victory you get when your opponent plays a Stone Gargoyle followed by a Mogushan Warden is pretty good too. (He did not wreck me with Hobgoblins and teach me hubris.)

I faced a Druid in Arena who got Lightwell from Piloted Shredder and then played Mark of the Wild on it. It basically functioned as a 2/7 Stoneskin Gargoyle with Taunt. I couldn't remove it, and I lost.

Just got to enjoy the benefits of my opponent playing Majordomo.

I was Control Warrior vs. Mage.  He plays Majordomo on T8 or T9 with 22 life.  I had a silenced Legendary Shredder, some other minion.

I traded to make him Rag, slammed him to 3 life with Shredder, dropped Dr. Boom, then Whirlwinded to blow up both bombs in his face.

Her: 3 HP
Her Board:
Archmage Antonidas

Me: 30 HP
My Board:
Guardian of Kings, 2 x 1/1s and an Ogre Brute with 1 Health.

I couldn't remove the Antonidas previously so I sent everything face. My hand just has 2 Guardian of Kings in it, usually strong cards, but absolutely terrible against Antonidas. She pings the Ogre to kill it and I'm hoping she has no spells in hand to start the Fireball chain. (I have no reach in my deck having previously played my Hammer of Wrath and two stealth critters.) She plays a spell: Unstable Portal. Fuck I hate that I probably won't be able to come back from this as I will never kill Antonidas. She plays the summon from the Portal on autopilot. It's Lorewalker Cho, followed by the Fireball to my Guardian of Kings.

"Thank you."
"Mistakes were made."
"Well met!"
"You win this one." *concedes"

I queued up at rank 23 with Thief Priest against a Mage whose deck seemed to be composed of crappy taunt minions and random legendaries. A truly degenerate series of events ensued: http://imgur.com/a/XlQgU

Savjz playing Astral Druid against a dragon Handlock.
"He doesn't play Moltens.  We've seen so many dragons, he doesn't play Moltens."
Warlock plays Molten.
Long tormented pause.
Double swipe Molten, leaving 3/3 Blackwing Technician and 6 health Warlock.

I don't have screenshots, but I just lost two consecutive arena games, as follows.

Game 1:
Against a mage, doing well, decent hand, he has maybe three cards.  He plays:
Spellslinger, giving him an unstable portal which he plays.
Next turn: Varian from the portal (!), pulls out a justicar and a piloted shredder.
Most hilarious loss I've ever experienced.  I'm not even sad about it. :)

Game 2:
Winning overwhelmingly against another mage something, massive board and maybe 5 cards in hand.  I'm on 14 health or so but he's not got much.
Turn 10, DEATHWING!
I managed to survive a further 4 or 5 turns by playing out all of the taunts.  Desperately trying to pull an ironbark from my deck.  My losing turn was a starfire to finish off deathwing, which pulled a Druid of the Claw; I think the Druid would have saved me the game if I could have afforded it, I had huge lategame left in my deck.
My increasing desperation as I put taunt after taunt on the board and saw them all disappear would have been great to watch. :)

I was playing Control Warrior against Face Hunter.

Me: 7 health+armor, 7/5 Dr. Boom, 5/3 Shieldmaiden, 1/4 Armorsmith, a bunch of cards in hand including some expensive minions and a Shield Slam.
Opponent: Enough health to survive this turn, not enough to survive the next, empty board, 1 card in hand.

So I thought that I'd Shield Slam my Dr. Boom for that one extra armor just in case he had a beast and drew a Kill Command (or vice versa). And then he had them.

I played a Mechmage mirror against a Medhiv that threw down a turn 5 Fel Reaver against my Mighty Tinkertown Technician and Clockwork Gnome.  I had reversing switch so I pushed him down to 8/1 and flipped him to 1/8.
He kept curving out turn 6, played a Boom I had to deal with turn 7, and added Fel Reaver turn 8 that didn't mill any decks that wouldn't be milled anyway.  It was a scary amount of pressure to deal with after spending two mininons and 3 mana just to reduce a guy's attack by 7 and drawing Dalaran Mage off Unstable Portal.

Until I topdecked Jeeves :D

He draws cards for you.  And your opponent.

The idea is if you're playing a deck that empties your hand, he will draw you 3 cards right away. If you're opponent is playing a slow deck, they probably can't take advantage of the draw. Also you always get to use the drawn cards first.

Also you always get to use the drawn cards first.

To elaborate on this, say it's your turn and your opponent has a Jeeves on board, and you have one card in hand. If you want to get the benefit from Jeeves, you have to leave the minion up, which is sometimes an awkward move against what is probably an aggressive deck. So as the Jeeves player, even if your opponent's deck is one that could benefit from the Jeeves effect, they'll often not be able to do so.

The board was empty. My opponent played a Voidcaller. I played Sylvanas. He played a Hellfire, traded the minions, and gave me a Doomguard.

I don't usually use emotes, but just this time, I think a "my thanks" was pretty appropriate.

On the Arena (Paladin vs. Mage), my opponent gave his Flamewaker +0/+4 and Taunt with a Mark of Nature that he got from his Spellslinger. Then he gave it +2/+2 with a Bolster that he got from his other Spellslinger, making it a 4/10. This dealt a bunch of damage to my Kvaldir Raider, making it a 6/2.

On my turn, I used my hero power, played the Shadowform I had gotten from one of his Spellslingers, then I used my hero power, and killed the Flamewaker with my 10/6 Kvaldir Raider.

It was pretty nice that the Spellslingers gave him a nice synergy which could have put me into a pretty uncomfortable situation, but that they also happened to give me the perfect counter.

(bonus puzzle: guess how my Kodo became an 8/8)

3/5 -> Dark Wispers into 8/10 -> run into Deathlord?
Good deduction. That is correct.

While I was trying to get to rank 5 (successfully, as it turned out later) with midrange Hunter, I won a game that I was totally losing against a Mage who had two Flamewakers (one with summoning sickness), some 6/6 minion he got from Unstable Portal and a 0/2 Taunt, and lots of health. I had a 3/1 weapon and a 6/9 Gahz'rilla I got from Webspinner, a Freezing Trap, and it was his turn. He played some spells, hit the Gahz'rilla a few times bringing it down to 6 health, attacked it with the 6/6, used the oops emote, played some more spells and had the Flamewakers mostly hit my face. At the start of my turn, I had a 96/1 Gahz'rilla and he resigned.

I have a 6/3 Bloodsail Raider against an empty board.

My opponent (Druid) plays Madder Bomber and takes all 6 hits to the face.

Was that me?  It sounds familiar.  Definitely had a 6-hit bomber to face recently, and I remember losing to a 6/3 bloodsail.

If you lost your board to a Consecrate on the previous turn, then lost your Bomber to a Truesilver, and played an Arcane Golem on your final turn, then it was you.

Best moment for me literally just happened. I built a taunt-heavy control deck with no "real" wincon except exhausting my opponent's plays. I end up against another priest who's clearly playing a similar game with gurubashi berserker as a wincon. He's running a little differently and has ressurect (I don't); we play out and he ends up with THREE northshire clerics at one point. I've got the justicar that lets me run 4-point heals from my hero power as a battlecry, and his biggest creatures are PW:G'd so they're a 1/x and a -1/x respectively (sen'jin and lightspawn, but he burnt his pw:s and divine spirits on keeping his draw engine alive earlier). I realize the guy's at like, 2 cards left, so now all I have to do is survive until he fatigues out - which should be quick, since he has 3 clerics on the board. I keep tossing taunts, he's basically playing on autopilot until he hits like 4 fatigue damage at which point he realizes he needs to quit healing his minions... but it's too late, he's at like 15 health. He manages to toss one of his clerics but I heal a creature of his next turn to do 13 damage and he draws into the fatigue death at the start of his turn with an 8 fatigue card.

EDIT: the long version

omg
so I built a... IDK what to call it
"taunt priest" deck
my goal basically was to just chip away at the opponent, using lots high health taunt minions and northshire cleric to prevent massive tempo gains from my opponent
just played another priest who has what i'll call a "standard" priest deck - lightspawn, divine spirits, etc etc
he ends up busting all my creatures as I drop them after a couple decent tempo swings in his favor, but he doesn't actually have a lot of damage on the board and I'm able to basically keep throwing down taunt
in the meantime, he's used resurrect and has ended up with THREE northshire clerics on the board, and is just busting through his deck.
I realize at 6 cards left in his deck that I have a shot to fatigue him out
I drop PW:G on his two big damage dealers (sen'jin and lightspawn), and he burned his pw:S and divine spirits on keeping northshire clerics alive, so he can't make lightspawn big enough to mean anything
meanwhile, he's still healing his minions. he pops a holy nova or whatever and goes like 3 deep into fatigue
I put down a taunt minion, he realizes he's pooched on fatigue and needs to come up with a solution so he tries to kill off his clerics but my minion's too low attack to kill more than one of them
we're now a 4 fatigue damage, mind you
(I'm at like 15 cards left in deck)
I drop a sludge belcher for lulz and throw a heal on one of his still-damaged clerics, hitting him for fatigue 5 and 6
no wait
he must've hit fatigue 5 that turn
because I hit him for 6/7
he draws into fatigue 8 with 2 life left
gg

This was a good moment for my opponent as a pre-nerf Patron Warrior.  My next draw was Battle Rage...

The Mechazod Brawl is producing thousands of these moments, but here's a buff Millhouse.

8-1 match of an arena run, I mulled away a blade flurry against a paladin because even though it's really good against muster, muster is a rare, so I shouldn't keep it just because of that, blah blah blah.  He goes Shielded Minibot into Muster like it's constructed, and I drew into Loot Hoarder and Wolf Rider instead of the Blade Flurry.

Guy continues to have sick cards, multiple Shielded Minibots, multiple? Shredders, Truesilver, a tiger, which isn't bad, and eventually a Tirion.

As he's battering me down, I draw this Ogre Ninja fellow, and I think, well, if I topdeck the third copy of Eviscerate in my deck AND Ogre Ninja does the 16.7% chance of attacking face instead of anything else, I have a chance to win.

Lo to the behold.

Given that you drew Eviscerate, it looks like you have a 2/3 chance of winning the game, because Ogre hitting Tirion is also lethal.

Y yes.  He gave us the screen after the ninja had done six to face.

Yeah, sorry guys.  I thought you would figure that part out.  Couldn't find out the situation was screenshot worthy until I actually attacked with the Ogre Ninja.

EDIT: Oh, wait, I see Titandrake said something different.  I now see that I barely had enough mana for exact lethal if ogre ninja hit tirion.

Apparently if, between you playing Brawl and the card actually resolving, all minions are removed from the board, it actually, literally, breaks the game.

I'm playing around on  ladder with my mid-range Hunter. My deck already has one copy of Jeweled Scarab and Tomb Spider while having two Web Spinners (also has two Highmanes and a Dr. Boom along with some more defensive cards like Sludge Belcher and Annoy-o-tron). So, I'm used to play some weird mix of cards based on what I draw from Web Spinner and the Discover cards.

But in this last game I played against a freeze Mage the random card draw got really wonky. One Web Spinner drew another Tomb Spider, and another Web Spinner drew an extra Highmane (and I might have discovered that Web Spinner from Tomb Spider). At some point I had three Highmanes on the board at the same time. My opponent managed to play both Ice Blocks throughout the game to stall (I also run one copy of Flare in my deck, but alas I never drew it). On the last turn, My opponent played Reno, healing from 1HP, but then immediately conceded due to still facing 30+ damage next turn from my side of the board.

As a side note, the discover cards are decent to good. Long story short they make it likely to draw a card that will be helpful for your current match-up or current situation. Lots of cards are really good in certain situations but those situations occur too infrequently to warrant putting them in your deck. With Discover you just might find those swing cards at the perfect moment.

I am playing Renolock mirror. I have lost my Reno already to Peddler -> Soulfire, he used up his. It is very late game. He has Dreadsteed and some small minions on the board, 10 cards in hand. It is perfect time to play Jaraxxus.. but, if he is playing Dreadsteed, maybe he runs Sac. Pact too. Can I risk it.
I risk it. He draws for the turn, but has 10 cards, so he overdraws.. Sac Pact.

Um, that has to be a bug, right? A) There is no reason for the deathrattle damage to compound and B) Deathrattles are not battlecries and thus should not be Bronzebeard compounded anyhow.

Um, that has to be a bug, right? A) There is no reason for the deathrattle damage to compound and B) Deathrattles are not battlecries and thus should not be Bronzebeard compounded anyhow.

Raptor's battlecry say "copy a deathrattle", so raptor copies the deathrattle twice. Then you take the other raptor back, and play it on the 1st raptor, giving it 4 deathrattles. Do that a number of times and you'll have a raptor with tons of deathrattles.

Would be pretty hard to get to 9 Mana with a prerequisite Emperor on board and 7 specific cards in hand that are typically core cards for the class so this is awesome.

I mean, it's awesome to watch, but if it's so easy to pull off, seems broken and likely to be nerfed.  Is this the "raptor rogue" everyone is running now?

It's pretty hilarious. People have gotten like 6 different deathrattles on 1 raptor. Of course, not in a real game since it's way too hard to pull off.

It is not at all easy to pull off. In fact, I think you would have to be extremely lucky to get the combo pieces together before getting killed first. I've been running what I would call Raptor Rogue and it has no Bronzebeard nor Shadowsteps in it. Key cards are Cold Blood, Nerubian Egg, Eviscerate, Raptor, Shredder and Belcher.

Gotcha -- just misread your post, I think.  Yeah, I have to assume running a deck like that working toward the OTK would fail fairly often.

The best part is that Raptors keep their Deathrattles when you Shadowstep or Brewmaster them - it copies the Deathrattle to the card, not the minion.

No, it does not. It looks like it does only because Bran Bronzebeard is on the board for those combos. The Raptors keep doubling off each other in a 2-4-8-16 pattern.

That's how I remember it described at least.

That's how it works in that instance, yes, but it's possible to get multiple different Deathrattles on it.  Like so:

There's no way that's possible with Raptors just copying each other.

I think Brann might be involved in that one.  Let's you copy a stacked Raptor and something else each time (maybe two Raptors if you've Ganged up).

This video taught me something about Deathrattle timing.

The related Reddit discussion:
https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/3tqtqq/new_unearthed_raptor_vanish_bug_two_different/

It looks like a Raptor bounced into your hand will keep the deathrattle but only if it got it's Battlecry doubled with Bran.

It looks like a bug.

Getting irritated when my opponent turn 4 Elise's and then has found the Golden Monkey by turn 7. Entomb his Golden Monkey. Draw it immediately. Win.

More like, Face Hunter wins without killing Ragnaros.

Another not my greatest moment:

I have Death's Bite with 1 Durability, and a couple of minions.  Opponent, a Pally, plays:

Equality
Bloodsail Corsair (remove 1 Durability from opponent's weapon)
Keeper of Uldaman (on the Corsair)

Game over, basically.

That's just brutal. I'm sure that pally was happy that he got some value of that corsair though.

Seriously.  Being forced to pick Corsair in Arena?  Sucks.  But he got the extreme value play from it.

Just had a great comeback with my Midrange Druid against a Warrior:
I'm at 1 hp, he's at 30hp+14 armor. His board is Sylvanas+Emperor, mine is Azure Drake and 3/3 Shade.
I play Force of Nature, 2 discounted Savage Roars, 2 Innervates and Keeper to silence Sylvanas and clear the Board with Treants.
He's now at 19 hp to my one, but i manage to stay on board and he doesn't draw any damage until I'm at 3 armor, at which point he gets bash.
The turn after, I have exact lethal with Boom, 5/5 Shade and carging Druid of the claw.

It's not that bad. It's always really good when your opponent has a weapon and reasonably many of them do have some. I mean, it's not the best card ever but it is better than a lot of the other things you might get offered.

I was at 4 health with Warlock on Arena (at 6-2). The Pally opponent was at like 23 (don't remember exactly, but it was way too high for lethal this turn and certainly low enough for lethal next turn).

Opponent's board: Wobbling Runts, Leper Gnome, Hero Power token, a secret which I knew was a Sacred Trial.
My board: an 8/8 and a Faerie Dragon.

In my hand, I had a Clockwork Gnome, Ancient Brewmaster, Power Overwhelming and two irrelevant cards. So I figured that I couldn't prevent myself from losing with just those, so I tapped (at that point, I hadn't figured out if there was a way to win at all, but I decided to try it out and see what I could get) and topdecked an Annoy-o-Tron, which I played. And then I realized that there was a way to win if I played Clockwork Gnome into the Sacred Trial and it gave me something that prevented Leper Gnome from dying. It gave me the Freeze spare part.

I'm 7-2 in Arena up against a Mage. Things aren't looking too good when my Mage opponent has 6 cards to my 2 cards. I play my Map to the Golden Monkey that I got from my Elise, and immediately draw the Golden Monkey with 18 cards still left in my deck. I play it (That Dreadscale was a Keeper of Uldaman before its transformation).

What proceeded was me desperately trying to topdeck to stay in the game. My stupid Blingtron even gave my opponent a Charged Hammer While I got a Light's Justice. I managed to seal the win with an epic Varian play before my opponent's Hero Power could get upgraded.. I missed the screenshot during the game, but you can see the blur of what it did for me.

Warlock arena. I'm at 6hp, have lethal next turn. My opponent has 2/3 stealth on board and 1 card in hand. I use my earthen ring farseer to heal my 6/1 to a 6/4 so it won't die, to keep lethal (possibly am mistake since I was low and against a paladin). Opponent draws a card, plays abusive, big panda, abusive again and has a 6/3 stealth. I'm like really?! Then he attacks my 6/4. I say thank you, there's a pause, then he concedes.

Not sure I can translate this into words, but I just mindgamed my opponent into getting lots of value from my Redemption.

T1: I don't play Redemption (I don't have a 2 or 3 drop in hand and might want to Hero Power next turn.)
T1: Opp coins out Knife Juggler
T2: Still no 2-drop. I play Redemption, hoping it looks like Noble Sacrifice (and it's better if I draw a 3 drop next turn)
T2: Opp plays Mechwarper, gets tricked, doesn't attack to save Juggler.
T3: Draw and play Mad Bomber, kill Knife Juggler (which is super lucky)
T3: Opp plays Sword of Justice, attacks face with Mechwarper, doesn't trigger a secret. (Opponent should have attacked into Mad Bomber regardless of if I have Noble Sacrifice or not so this is just bad of them.)
T4: Keeper of Uldaman on Mad Bomber, kill Mechwarper

So now I have a 3/4 and a 3/1 to an empty board. My opponent can't risk triggering Avenge by killing Mad Bomber, so they leave it around. Eventually, they trade their SoJ-pumped board and a Sword charge to get everything to 2 health for Consecrate, finally triggering my Redemption. I get to rebuild with a free 3/1 and my opponent never gets board back.

Just played a generic Priest against Control Warrior.  Entombed his Iron Juggernaut and Sylvanas, Auchenai/Flash Healed his Ysera, Thoughstole Grommash and Brawl (which helped me kill *his* Grommash)... he drew his Burrowing Mine which left him at 1 Health, with his board empty, and me with 3 minions.  He conceded.

I'm messing with a Reno Warrior at the moment.   Not the best to climb with in this meta, but I'm sick of trying to climb, the meta is so stale atm.
It's good against many a thing, but so bad against Control/Dragon Priest.  Entombs are just so spectacularly devastating.

The meta is always stale though, but it's just stale in different ways. Like right now Zoo is really popular for some reason. That takes me back.

Entomb reminds me of what things were like playing against Priest before Naxx, where they could get away with using Mind Control. Pretty wacky.

OK then let me rephrase - I'm finding the current staleness of the meta to be more dislikable than I usually do, for whatever reason.  To the extent that I no longer want to play the decks that are good in the meta (which I always used to do before I hit Legend the first time), but just want to play whatever I feel like playing.  That's quite unusual for me.

As for MC, I had my Ysera MC'd the other day.  Think I still won, but that surprised me a lot.  Been a long time since I've faced MC as a thing.  It could maybe come back post-WOTOG, depending.

Yeah I get that. I'm usually not playing the best deck for the meta, but still one that is reasonable for the current state of the game. I'm primarily playing Renolock with Stalagg/Feugen right now. Going Stalagg/Faceless after Feugen has died usually wins the game against Control/Fatigue Warrior/Priest (I don't have Jaraxxus), but the games still take very long to finish. The other half of the time I get wrecked by Zoolock and Midrange Combo Druid. Still an interesting experience.

Actually one game against Control/Dragon hybrid Priest, I didn't have an answer to Ysera. I facelessed it, but then it got Shrinkmeister-Caballed. Managed to get it back with Mind Control Tech. Luckily my opponent got subpar Dream Cards. My opponent ended up burning Dream to bounce back my Emerald Drake, then later on played two Laughing Sisters that got removed by my Dream Card, Ysera Awakens.

I ended up winning in the end. My opponent tried to stall with Museum Curator into Abomination+Nightmare on Abomination, but that got removed by my Siphon Soul and Abomination's Deathrattle gave me lethal.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the part where I milled 4 of my opponent's cards with Brann+Coldlight(from Jeweled Scarab), one of which was Onyxia, while the Priest's hand was stuffed with Dream cards. In exchange, I only milled my Hellfire.

I see :P I think my question still applies though, because you had two stones out, didn't die, didn't have them killed and then echoed them, then played two more out, they still didn't die and you still didn't die, and then you played a pyroblast.

You're right. It sounds pretty rediculous.  I dont remember all the details, but he was unable to remove my first two stones because he had no minions on board at the time, and the summoned minions as a result of the echo were able to take care of the ones he played next.  He must have had a terrible hand.

Old habits die hard.

The best loss I had so far was when my Mage opponent's Servant of Yogg-Saron played Beneath the Grounds against my Reno Rogue deck. Went to play Reno at 1hp, only to be met with a nasty surprise.

On Arena, I was playing Druid against a Mage. I had a pretty great start with Coin into Wild Growth, t2 Living Roots and Annoy-o-Tron, while my opponent spent his t2 pinging my face. He then played an Unstable Portal at some point and didn't play that minion on that turn. On turn 5, I had massive board advantage, and then I Innervated into an Ancient of War (for the Taunt) and got him down to 9 health by going for the face with my other stuff.

As it turns out, the minion he got from the Unstable Portal was a Vol'jin and he also had a Defender of Argus.

I always wish people would finish me off quickly if they have fatal damage on me instead of making their turn last longer when the winner is clear. So today I played an explosive trap when both me and my opponent had 4 HP left. My opponent had a 6/2 minion, but he attacked first with his 1/1 minion. My explosive trap kills all three of his minions and I win.

Attacking with the 6/2 minion first wouldn't have helped though, Explosive Trap triggers before the minion deals damage so all of his minions were going to die anyway. If your Secret had been a Bear Trap or a Freezing Trap, attacking with the 1/1 would have possibly allowed him to win whereas attacking with the 6/2 would not have, so your opponent actually made the correct play there.

Also, you can (and should) resign as soon as you see that your opponent has lethal and there's nothing you can do about it.

I do occationally, and sometimes I resign when they have lethal and start doing things other than finishing me off. But I don't agree with 'should'. It seems like a lot of people would think it rude for you to quit without giving them a chance to finish you off. And then there's the possibility that you're mistaken about having nothing to do about losing as in the case I was taking about.

Except sometimes opponents miss lethal if it isn't a super obvious lethal. So I always wait. Sometimes they miss it and you can actually win the game. It's super important in arena.

There has been more than one occasion where I can see that my opponent has lethal on the board, and they instead punch my minions, leaving me alive for long enough to kill them first.  There has also been more than one occasion where I've missed lethal on another player.  Never concede.

Sure, you shouldn't resign games where it isn't super obvious, but even then, I always resign as soon as the opponent indicates that he also sees the lethal.

I don't traffic in these absolutes. I'll resign if I want to. Sometimes I know I am going to get wrecked and I sit and watch and let the guy have his fun. Sometimes I am disgusted with my own play and resign even when I may have won. It's a game not my master.

It's not rude, it's polite.

Except sometimes opponents miss lethal if it isn't a super obvious lethal. So I always wait. Sometimes they miss it and you can actually win the game. It's super important in arena.

Man, I've had so many Dominion games where this has been the case as well.

Me as Reno Rogue vs. Priest.

Me: Elise

Opp, several turns later:  Thoughtsteal -> Map -> Monkey.  All in one turn.

(I still won, but never drew my map.)

Sometimes I give my opponent a little bit of time to summon things or kill minions for quests. If they're just BMing I resign though.

You shouldn't resign if you think your opponent might be playing on mobile on EU!  Who knows what will happen?

This is why I miss "I am sorry." as an option. Saying "Spectacular!" or whatever after something like that happens doesn't seem as nice.

I had 2 duplicates in the deck. It's worth noting that I missed lethal on purpose to get it, and he didn't concede for a turn to let me get it.

Zoo against Yogg Mage...we are pretty even at around 18 life, I have board.  He plays Yogg and ends up with a hunter secret and a 10/5 DS Yogg.

I go face for three, no trigger.  I go Yogg and trigger Snake Trap.  Trade for his Yogg, fill board, leave his three snakes.  He has 8 life.  He Flamestrikes, hero power my reliquary, leaving just an 8/4 Sea Giant on my side.  Arcane Missiles hits once, plus three snakes...no board.

I have Tentacles in hand, draw Knife Juggler.  Decide to tap, draw a second Juggler.

Opponent has Obsidian Destroyer on board.
I have knife Juggler on board.
I play Tinkmaster Overspark. Transforms the Destroyer into a Squirrel. Knife kills Squirrel.

Okay, not really impressive.  But it was funny to see the only Legendary I've opened in a pack actually make a difference.

You used to be able to target what Tink would transform (the transformation was still random). Those days it was in many many decks.

It may not be OP, but it's not fun. Think of Dr. Boom. I'm not sure now OP he is, but he's so good you put him in every deck. That's not fun, and it takes away from the game. Also some classes dont have hard removal, and that gives it to them.

Dr. Boom is super fun, and cards that are powerful enough to go in a majority of decks, when in moderation, add to the game.

There are some cute things about the Boom Bots being both Mechs and deathrattle minions. The bots provided additional Mech synergy, and they could buff Undertaker or Feign Death or whatever (and now N'Zoth).

Sadly those aspects of Dr. Boom are overshadowed by the good doctor's raw power level. I've seen my boom bots deal 4 damage to Azure Drakes on deathrattle.

To me, the main problem with boom was not that he was op (which he was, but anyway) but rather that he was crazy swingy. It was so painful to see your boom bots hit face for 1 each and then have his kill your two 4 health minions.

Even when it happened in your favour you either didn't notice or it would take away the feeling of clean victory somewhat.

Playing Priest against Yogg Mage.

I've got board advantage and a win if he can't win this turn. I have 3 minions and 11 health. He has 1 card and 10 health. Plays Yogg has played like 10 spells this game. Yogg says "F^&* this" Explosive Shots himself and then immediately Pyroblasts the Mage. Worst luck I have seen on a Yogg play.

Hunter is fun.  Play Bestial Wrath on my giant sandworm. Proceed to kill 4 medium size minions and do 10 damage to opponent's face with it. finish off opponent with hero power and kill command. ouch. I feel bad for that opponent.

I play Brann for tempo on turn 3, opponent drops a Doomsayer which I can't clear. So instead, I play my Dirty Rat (the new 2/6 taunt that puts an opponent's minion in the battlefield from his hand as his Battlecry), putting Thaurissan and Leeroy into play from his hand to die to the Doomsayer. He concedes.

In arena, my hand is

Voidcaller, 2x Dread Infernal, 2x Abyssal Enforcer, Kabal Trafficker.

On turn 5 I play Voidcaller. It lives.
On turn 6 I play Kabal Trafficker. It gives me Mal'Ganis at end of turn.
My opponent Siphon Souls Kabal Trafficker, then trades their Voidcaller with mine. Theirs puts Felguard into play, mine puts Mal'Ganis in.
Turn 7: Soulfire Felguard (discarding Dread Infernal), play 2nd Dread Infernal, attack with Mal'Ganis, instant concede from opponent.

I got Sudden Genesis (5 mana summon a copy of each of your damaged minions) from Swashburglar earlier

Crystal Core active, so all my minions are 5/5, i have a 1/1 dagger equipped.
My board: Swashburglar + Southsea Deckhand
Opponent has 15 hp + 2 armor.
I go face with Swash and Deckhand, Backstab my Deckhand, play Sudden Genesis (5 mana summon a copy of each of your damaged minions), which i got from Swashburglar, go face with the new Deckhand, and Eviserate for lethal.

Yup, got hit with Exodia Mage combo. Sorceror's Apprentice + Molten Reflection x 3 + Waygate turn skip into Antonidas. I'm sure it won't be the last time.

I was playing Midrange Hunter vs. Quest Rogue. Turn 9 (I think), my board is clear and my opponent(already having completed the quest) has two 5/2's and a 5/5 Violet Teacher, but only 6 HP.

I play Tortollan Primalist, a card I wanted to try out for funsies (with the hope of 8-mana Call of the Wild). I Discover Explosive Trap to play.

My opponent for some reason attacks my face with Violet Teacher instead of one of the 5/2's, triggering the trap and destroying my opponent's remaining minions. Opponent casts Vanish, then plays some minions.

My turn, my opponent at 4 HP, I Hero Power and replay the Tortollan Primalist, discovering Explosive Trap again.

I just won a crazy game on Arena where I fatigued for 6 (putting me at 2) and my opponent fatigued for 5 (killing him). At 1-2 with a very good deck, no less.

Odds of getting 2 legendaries should be very, very low but getting the same 2 legendaries seems vanishingly small. I mean, all 5 cards being the same Golden legendary I suppose has the lowest possible odds of occurring which would make the odds of the same 2 regular legendaries look positively common.

How do you beat quest rogue besides them just drawing bad? Like Ive had a number of games like that, and it just seems like you can't beat it.

If Quest Rogue draws super well, I think you're out of luck unless you are playing a deck that can snowball in the first few turns then draw super well yourself. So like, Murloc Paladin and Token Druid come to mind. Maybe Silence Priest, but I can't imagine Silence Priest beating the hand above.

I actually played a game today where the opposing Quest Rogue got Small Time Recruits from Swashbuckler. That was painful, even for my budget Murloc rush Paladin.

Yeah, it's basically the same as when OTK priest draws well and you don't. You're dead on turn 5. I see both as high risk, high reward strategies although it sure seems like Quest Rogue is lower risk.

By running cards that have more value than a 5/5, or by being a faster aggro deck. I'm pretty much 50-50 with quest Warrior against quest Rogue, and I think the matchup is probably in my favor but I haven't been playing amazingly well every time and sometimes the opponent has had draws like I described. I don't think quest Rogue is the best deck in the current meta, even.

Heck, I've beaten Quest Rogues with Elemental Shaman (granted drawing Flametongue Totem is clutch in that matchup). Sometimes I get lucky and am able to buy some time because the Quest Rogue played Igneous Elemental and I am able to Hex/Devolve it.

I got to rank 5 this season with Elemental Shaman. I'm surprised at how it managed to hold its own against control decks as well as aggro decks.

Freezes, doomsayers, kill their minions before they can lay eggs, just deny them ever having a board.  Also dragon/fel-fire potions can clear them.

Nothing quite takes the wind out of their sails like a counterspell to the crystal core. It can be tough because they will play around it if at all possible.

Agreed.  It's just frustrating when they get the god-draw.  If they're completing their quest AND prepping out the Core by turn 3/turn 4, you're pretty much screwed.

Yes, I've tried the deck for a bit and it doesn't actually come together as reliably as it appears to for your opponents.

Seems like there's a hidden setting that ensures when you play against Quest Rogue it always works and when you play the deck itself you never draw right.

Quest Rogue plays Crystal Core on T4 or T5 99% of the time against me (this may be an exaggeration, but not by much).  It's just too easy to meet the requirements with all of the Panda-style cards available.  You have Panda, Combo Boat Guy, Shadowstep...or you just use elementals.

I can see how a Mage with freeze/poly/counterspell can specifically play against it.  Not much else has specific outs against multiple 5/5s.

Dragonfire potion works.  A control priest deck works if it's teched right - unless they draw badly and the rogue draws epically.

Dragonfire Potion is still far from a total solution if the Rogue doesn't overextend and/or plays Crystal Core early.

So there's Poly early to block multiple minion plays or freeze/dragon fire potion the 5/5s.

Unless you tech against it, quest Rogue with half-decent draw wins.

Perhaps 90-93% would be a more accurate estimate?

True.  But I stand by my statement.  I have a solidly positive win rate as control priest against Quest Rogue.

What could have been a very frustrating loss for me was dispelled by how marvelous the win actually was.

I am playing against Token Druid with my Elemental Shaman. I've been holding off my opponent rather well, even managing to hex a Bittertide Hydra. My opponent goes all out on a final push, with a Finja proc, Bloodsail Corsair + Patches, a Second Bittertide Hydra, and Mark of the Lotus. My opponent is left with one card after this.

My turn, I have the option of playing Kalimos or Al'Akir (thanks, Discover), among a few other cards. I have to play Kalimos to clear the board, leaving a 9/6 Bittertide Hydra. I have only 5 more damage on the board, so I cannot kill the Hydra.

Opponent's turn. Draws a card, empties two card hand with Savage Roar -> Savage Roar -> Hero Power for exact lethal.

Thing is, my opponent needed EXACTLY Bittertide Hydra to pull this off. If Hydra didn't have at least 8 health, I coul trade it off the board. If Hydra didn't have at least 8 attack, my opponent would miss lethal and I could maybe bounce back to win the game with Al'Akir. If Bittertide Hydra costed more, my opponent would not be able to build as big of a board to force my Kalimos.

All that considered, this win for my opponent was pretty epic (get it, because Bittertide Hydra is an epic).

Played Gnomeferatu turn 2 in Arena.  Milled a Bloodreaver Gul'Dan.

Playing as Druid against Hunter, both rank 21 after monthly reset.

T1: Hunter passes, I innervate a Crypt Lord.
T2: Hunter resigns, friends me.

I accept, loving trolls and on the off chance he's a newbie looking for quest friends.

"cheating and netdecking at 21.  sad" then I friends me.

It's a funny tweet-sounding message, but also seems odd.  What about my T1 play got that response?

I dunno, but it reminds me of the time I was playing as a Hunter and lost twice in a row to the same player that went Turn One Innervate -> Vicious Fledgeling in both games. Hunter in particular seems like it suffers against Turn One Innervate.

Maybe the player was one of those people that believe netdecking is cheating.

According to his own words they are separate things that can be done simultaneously.

Well, I reread it and that may be the case. It doesn't look like much of a sincere literary effort nor an intelligent author.

Shadowreaper Anduin is a lot of fun.  I've been trying to pull of the Velen+Mirage Caller+2 0-cost cards combo for exactly 30 damage, but even though the combo usually ends up not working, I can usually turn around a win anyway.  The hero power is just absurd.

Playing Dragon Priest against a Warrior which I realize is running Dead Man's Hand. I run Shades in my deck in addition to dragon agents, I missed Dead Man's Hand on three dragon agents, but managed to get a Dead Man's Hand on my second Shade. This drags the game out super long and he runs out of Coldlights due to bad draws at a certain point. Still he manages to keep playing Bring It On and Garrosh Scourgeleader and wiping my board. I don't get another Dead Man's Hand even after pulling and extra agent from a Netherspite Historian. I keep playing my minions out and he keeps removing them with the Scourgeleader weapon and the hero power, and Bring It On for 10 armour again and again. Finally I'm at 25 health and 25 armour and on my last card which is a Bone Drake. He'll very slowly fatigue me if I don't get a good card out of the drake. Play it, he removes it with the weapon and hero power and Brings It On again. He's at about 20 health still. I get Sindragosa.

Play it! He Brings It On again, swings into Sindragosa and removes the champions and I get Raza (with an empty deck) and Elise Trailblazer. He suicides into Sindragosa after seeing that.

Most epic game of hearthstone I've ever played. Added the guy after and he was super nice. Like seeing people play fun decks like that.

My guess would be he thinks the Innervate nerf has already gone through and so it giving 2 free Crystals (rather than the post-nerf 1) could look like some kind of exploit.

EDIT: Or he's just an ass.  Y'know.  Either way.
